The author was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa to the union of the late paramount chief B.G Dassama of Dama Chiefdom , Kenema district and Lucinda Dassama (Nee Davies). He had his initial education in Sierra Leone and later proceeded to the United Kingdom of Great Britain, where he had his Bsc (Hons ) in Social Sciences at London South Bank University and Law qualifi cation at the London Metropolitan University followed by Msc at Birkbeck College, University of London. The author also held a diploma in Teaching from East London College and a PhD in Criminal Law at Lorenz University USA.

    INTRODUCTION

    The mysteries of our human society, had been culturally oriented that creates a formidable force to subservient any rational thanking. If we as human intend to survive the dynamism of the twenty first century, love and culture should be a common sense interpretation based on needs, want, and choice of the individual approach. The illustrative account of love had stood the test of human history in the most perilous conditions, a state of complete chaos and even death itself. If love is to be understood within the contest of culture and tradition, should it not to be said that, what love is could be mere cultural fulfilment rather than expressive interpretation of the heart, that exceeds the instrumentalism of held values, customs of recorded practice which could not necessarily applied to real life situation.

    The story in this book, stem out of real life experience of which, characters have been selected to substitute real people and events. The story is intended to portray, the dynamism of the human ability in striving to achieve, the optimum in the phase of indignation, social exclusion, and even that of death. A struggle against the odds of human depravity has always left an indelible imprint on the developmental stages of human society which by-and—large, have had devastating consequence to be addressed either by the individual victim or the society at large. How the victims, are able to handle or deal with this situation tend to be self gratifying and, a test to the intuition of the ‘self’, which could lead to open confrontation to cultural values.

    The challenges that is open to us is that of, our relationship with cultural values and how it can be, juxtaposed with the reality of love with the aim of creating a compromise of peaceful co-existence, without any rancour. What is being aimed at in this book is the illustration of the human desire, to achieve the optimum in the
