About this ebook

Very candid and outspoken comment on the political, economic, and social milieu. The poet has also explored various shades of thought processes. Its like a window to human insecurities, aberrations, and weaknesses. Rich with imagery and metaphors, the poems are a delight to read. The poet uses blank verse in some poems, where she takes liberties to give vent to emotions. Where in some poems, she uses frugality of words to create a unique style that impacts on the readers mind.

    Dedicated to

    THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT

    You are a dream

    Which whispers

In the silence of the night

    And peeps sensuously through those

    Foggy clouds of anesthesia.

    You are a forbidden fruit

    The serpents tempting offer

    You are the serpent itself

    That curls into the loins

    Breathing carnal pleasures.

    You are the scorching flame

    That singes

    Across vast mounds of glaciers

    You are a virus

    That swallows my immunity

    A victim of lethal infection.

Every brain nerve is drugged with opium

    It hears no other voice

    It’s a hawk in flight

Which knows no reason, no boundaries

Soaring beyond the realms of paradise.

    SPECTATORS:

    THE ICE MENAGERIE

    The Sculptor

Chiseled out of a frozen marble

    Their passive and distant demeanors

Their eyes oscillate from one act to another.

    The Menagerie nods its head

    In agreement and disagreements

Waiting patiently for the Judges mallet

Do they have a voice of their own

    Their own thoughts?

They somehow seem to be bought by others.
