Baby's Breath: Some Rhyme and Reason
()
About this ebook
"Lyric Lament" (the first line of a blues song is always repeated) was performed by Myrna Reynolds at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut in 2011 for the Women's Composers Festival. It is unique as a soprano comic aria. (Stacy /composer)
Stevie Rawlings
Stevie has been listening to many rhythms since she was in a high chair. Some call them "song". Some call them "poetry". She began to arrange these rhythms as a way to document her life. As a child, student, wife, mother, teacher, singer, dancer, actress, director, choreographer, and life-long listener she is compelled to write the rhythms that she hears. Some Rhyme AND Reason present the rhythms of those she heard most often. BA Indiana University MA Columbia University
