About this ebook

Those individuals who believe God created only two people in the garden of Eden may be surprised by the authors viewpoints expressed in this book. The author uses the Bible as the foundation to explain what could be possiblethat God did create more worlds, more planets, and more people in His likeness, allowing them to migrate through space travel to different worlds. Some of these other-world individuals may be present among us today.

Author

Donald Arlo Jennings PhD

This is Dr. Donald Arlo Jennings’s first full book. He has written chapters and co-authored chapters in other books related to healthcare technology, as well as written numerous articles for magazines and co-authored several white papers. Dr. Jennings stated he always wanted to write this book on the subject of the creation, to give God credit for all He created, for much of which we have no conception. Dr. Jennings holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree and doctorate in management systems. His career spans forty-six years in information technology, but his passion has always been to write. This book yields to that passion and expresses beyond normal comprehension what God can do and what we always take for granted. He hopes you will enjoy reading his comments, and as he expressed, this book only compiles his personal thoughts, coupled with those who express opinions regarding the beginning of everything, God’s creations. Dr. Jennings lives with his wife, Arleen, and their two cats, Abby and Annie, in both Asheville, North Carolina and Summerville, South Carolina. You can reach out to him via Facebook or LinkedIn.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I want to express a very special thank you and appreciation to my good friend Kemper Brown, Sr. for taking valuable time from his business and family to read and to critique this book. His scientific and open-minded approach helped improve both the writing style and the content. I am deeply indebted to him. I also owe much to our Lord and Savior for his creations and for giving me the knowledge and the opportunity to organize the thoughts contained within the following chapters.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…

    Ecclesiastes 3:1

    PREFACE

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

    Psalm 46:1 - 3, 7

I cannot express in words the effort it has taken to research and think through my thoughts in the following chapters. Each day as I was thinking, researching writing, and rewriting I asked God for directions for points He wanted me to convey in the chapters. I cannot say God literally spoke to me, but it was amazing how the words came easily, and at the end of each chapter when I was struggling for the next topic, I would come across a Bible verse indicating some area for discussion. The Bible is God’s words, and He surely instructed the many authors of the books in the Bible what He wanted conveyed. Those words have come down through many years of history, have been translated in to many languages, and have survived other religions, wars, and devastation that man has invoked.

As I continued reading through various Bible verses, the words that I was writing, seemed to come naturally and to comply with many of the thoughts from other researchers. Writing the first chapter really opened my mind to various thoughts regarding questions asked by individuals for many years. Completing the first chapter, followed by the other chapters that took time to research and discover the most appropriate information, I found myself rereading and rewriting many paragraphs. By the end of chapter nine, I was stumped as where to focus and what topics should be the focus of the next chapters. I asked God where He wanted me to go with the information and what specific topics He wanted me to think through and to research. I found it strange at that time I was led to write this prologue, to a degree explaining how the book unfolded. I don’t think God needed to have time to think about what I should write, but I think He wanted me to think about it. I cannot tell you how many times I added to or changed these pages, but it always seemed necessary.

As I thought about what I wanted to initially write, it was strange I started looking for verses of encouragement in the Bible and found the one at the beginning of this preface. It is obvious in this book the words from Psalm are definitely appropriate to many of the topics discussed. To break down the words in the verse above: first, it is very evident God is always our refuge and our strength during troubled times. What brings on troubled times can be our fear of the unknown or a fear we are not doing God’s will, or maybe it is because there are changes in the environment. Today, in 2012, many individuals in various areas on our planet are endangered by earthquakes, floods, fires, wars, starvation, droughts, and diseases, some human induced while others may be signs from God as warnings about our sinful ways. We seem to always know and realize the meaning of these signs, but maybe more attention should be given to interpreting them.

Second, God is always with us. He is our stronghold. He is our strength in troubled times. I know everyone exists because He lives. He is the creator. He is the origin of everything. However, I realize God did not create sin. Anyone can believe what they want to believe, form their own religions, they can have followers, but only God, not humans, can create worlds. God lives in each one of us. He alone can move mountains without equipment. He can wake the dead. He is God. Notice the verse at the beginning of the introduction.

Any human or alien being from any world can be challenged to create a planet, to establish space, or to make a complex living being, man or animal, and to create a world in which to survive, but it will not happen. People may create artificial environments, or artificial body parts, and they may grow hybrid plants and trees; but what if the challenge was to start with nothing, not even space? No individual alone can accomplish this. It is challenging to think anyone may think it is possible.

There are so many individuals, including prominent scientists, that believe everything was created as a result of a big bang, but there is little evidence or explanation as to how that first particle came into existence. I believe God has a hand in everything created and not just the world as it exists today. Just recently pictures were released showing areas on the planet Mars. Some of these pictures dated back several years, but now they are being seen for the first time by the general population. It is amazing how areas on Mars look, and while the planet seems void of water and life-sustaining substances, no one has any idea what happened there eons ago. However the pictures do show indications water movement did occur. Maybe at one time life did exist on Mars. Maybe life still exists there. Maybe some of Mars’ past inhabitants came to Earth.

There must be, and I believe there is life beyond our planet; maybe some of those non-Earth individuals are walking among us today. If this is what some individuals believe, as I do, or even if no one does believe it, I encourage reading the following thought-provoking topics regarding a new way to think about God’s creations, yes, in the plural. I want to revisit the genesis of God creating everything, revisiting the book of Genesis from a different perspective.

    INTRODUCTION

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

    John 1:1 - 3

When I stop and think for one minute, looking up to the heavens and realizing there are over ten billion stars in just the Milky Way and over ten billion stars in the universe, this is almost too much for me to comprehend. However, understanding our universe is just one among many in the vast space that planet Earth is a part; I begin to understand man did not and could not have created the worlds around us. Our planet, our solar system, is a tiny spot in what God has created.

First, I would like to state up front and clearly to the point that I am a Christian, and I definitely believe in God as the ultimate creator, the superior being. I believe as John stated, all things were made by Him. Without God, nothing would exist. God, He who is the creator of everything, and no one would be here except for His will. In this book I probably will open up some controversial issues that might instill a different way of thinking for some individuals, but a difference in thought is not the point I am trying to make. My point is God created everything in His time and all people in His likeness. I believe God created many such worlds in much the same way as I visualize this earthly environment. I do believe God may still be creating other worlds to this day, and our world is only a finite part of His overall plan. There is little evidence to support some of the points I will discuss, but there have been many individuals over the years focusing on the same issues. I will point out in the following chapters that space is infinite and that God surely did not intend to leave just one planet inhabited. However, many of my thoughts or points can be substantiated through information in the Bible, but a few of my points may raise additional concerns with some individuals.

Second, I want to emphasize many of the points that I will discuss, not necessarily my thinking, are not new, but a great deal of research has been accomplished over the years regarding the issues. Over many years, individuals have researched biblical teachings, searched for truths about the creation, how man evolved, if Adam and Eve were really the first creations of God, and if Noah and the great flood actually happened. It is not my intention to question or doubt individuals’ research or comments, or their beliefs or thinking. It is my intention to pull some of these thoughts together related to all of God’s creations. I want to make certain, in reading this book, there is a distinct separation of thought regarding whether God created everything or if everything just evolved.

Let me start by asking this question: if God does not exist how did nothing become everything? I continue to think about what would be here if nothing existed. If space constitutes an element of something, I must wonder just how space originated. The big bang theory becomes invalidated very quickly thinking in this term. Darwin tried to explain that man evolved from a simple cell to a complex being, but there are so many holes in his theory some individuals could easily challenge his thought process. I personally do not know how the first simple cell originated, and I found no evidence in my research or explanation from others’ research to clarify how the first cell came into existence.

I want to present a new concept, a new way to look at the creation or creations. I believe we are not alone in this vastness called space. I want to capitalize on this thought as I describe a new and challenging approach to the beginning of time somewhere. I challenge anyone reading this to think about the concept, this somewhat radical but realistic approach to how everything got here. Darwin would probably disagree should he still be alive, but Darwinists are still around, and I welcome their comments. It is too early to be judgmental until the following chapters have been read that may require some additional independent research on the part of the readers regarding each discussion point. I remained awed as I read the Bible, and was able to relate to some of the discoverable issues. It would be worthwhile to keep a Bible close by and read or re-read the book of Genesis as well as some of the biblical references that I have included.

Let’s begin the story. "In the beginning, God created…

    CHAPTER ONE

…the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light; and there was light.

    Genesis 1:1 - 3

Where did God do this? Many times I have thought about where the actual creation took place. I even thought when Moses wrote about the creation in the book of Genesis he had to get his information from someone, somewhere, somehow, and the information had to be passed along for many years before there was a way to record the information. Maybe angels were charged by God to deliver this information down through the ages. Let me focus on what I think is meant by genesis.

Genesis is the creation and derivation of all life as we know it, the beginning of everything. I am uncertain when this genesis began or where it began. I really believe anyone would have some difficulty in proving an actual time and place. I don’t know how Adam came into existence or from where he originated. The book of Genesis tells us God created Adam from dirt. However, I do not remember reading from where that dirt originated. If nothing existed, it is difficult to explain how that dirt got there unless God created it. If there was nothing, then I have to wonder where the space originated that held the dirt. God surely had to exist at that time to start this process, but there is no supporting information to let us know from where God originated. I don’t think that question should be asked regarding the origination of God. John 1:1 tells us: in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This supernatural being existed before anything. The creation of all that exists had to have intervention to begin the beginning. And God made it so.

I wonder if God did this on the planet Earth, as it still exists today. I don’t think this had to be so. Maybe there are many individuals who do have to believe the creation started here because that is what has been taught to us from childhood. Reading Genesis in the Bible, maybe not noteworthy, but earth is not capitalized, not a proper noun, but an indication of an existence of something. I thought about what is meant by the reference to earth. I wonder when Moses wrote this if someone before him provided the information regarding the name of this planet. I wonder if someone just made the name up and wrote it down hoping in the future everyone would believe earth would become the planet Earth.

I sometimes think of earth as an acronym. EARTH, Eventually All Return To Heaven. This is a thought to ponder. I can believe God might have created Adam somewhere other than our planet as it exists today. It is conceivable He did. I want to continue to focus on that point as I discuss several topics.

In thinking about the creation, some individuals will agree with me that before there was anything, there was nothing. If this seems appropriate, I can
