    Dedication

This book is dedicated to Josh Hollingsworth and Monika Duff, the first two young people that I was privileged to take to the missions field. We went to Russia, South Africa, Germany, Kenya, Mozambique, and Madagascar. One time, I was privileged to watch these two young people stand up in front of a huge crowd in the slums of Kenya. As with all ministry we did, they brought the Holy Spirit in a powerful way that day! Many lives were changed because of their willingness to use their gifts on the mission’s field in Kenya and around the world.

It has seemed that, everywhere we have gone, whether we were on the streets of Charlotte, or in the faraway country of Madagascar, these two young people carried with them the power of the Holy Spirit.

Because of these two young people, my heart has been turned on to train youth and children to go to the streets. Because, as I have powerfully seen through Josh and Monika, ministry by young people not only changes the people ministered to, but forever transforms the young people themselves.

Why We Take Children to the Street

As you will read from the stories throughout this book, children can minister just like adults can. If you turn a child’s heart onto the poor at an early age, then they grow to love what God loves, and God loves the poor.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, He has appointed me
