Poetry is something that we all share, each time that we think a thought. We think in poetry, only some of us are not able to put it in words but thoughts of poetry live in our hearts. We are filled with emotions and that is what poetry is. You need to just open your heart to the words written for they are the words coming from a heart just like you. From our pain and our sacrifices to our joy and happiness, when you read this we will be able to see that we are all the same seeking love and a dream that we can claim.

There are times when we may feel lost and there is nothing that we can do. The truth is that there will always be options for us to choose. Only with our ever changing emotions at the time we are blind to see. For every action there is an opposite reaction. There are things that we know that we can do yet we get caught up in the things that we are going through. There are times when we are happy and times when we are sad. It is a delicate balance in the lives that we live. Each of us will need to come to grips with the way that we feel. We are never alone although we think at the time that we are alone. We need to find the courage to reach out and say that we are here. Is there anyone out there that care about the lives that we live? At the end of the day if we listen closely we will be able to hear a voice saying that I am here, you are not alone. Ever changing emotions is what will live in our hearts. We just have to decide the things that we want to do and find the courage to follow them through.
The Life that I have had to live has been very difficult but the love in my heart kept me strong even when I sometimes may have felt alone. I have cried my share of tears and I have suffered many years but I kept the love in my heart. We are human and we make mistakes but as long as we live there will always be another road for us to take.

I pray that the poems that you are reading help you to understand that we all go through lifes ever changing emotions. We have to live in the moment and if that moment continues to last then we should remember that our lives are made up of our past, present and our future. For as long as we live we can change the way that we feel. Love and forgiveness is what we should always hold most precious in our lives. Love and forgiveness can forever live in our hearts. A Father Loves His Child

When a father loves his child

He loves to see him smile

He doesn’t want to see his child sacrifice

For his child he would pay any price

For the bond between a father and a child will always be there

For the bond between a father and a child will always be rare

The love that a father and a child share will cross time and space

They will always share a love that their hearts can never erase

There are tears that the child will cry

When the father tells the child good-bye

But there are things that the father has to do

To give his child’s dream a chance to come true

The child may not understand this

For it is the father that the child miss

But the father has a job to do

To go out and work for the family too

There is sadness in the father’s heart

When from the child he has to depart

For his family to truly be able to live

He has to have money in his pockets to give

Working early in the morning and many times late in the night

There is barely enough time to eat before he turns off the light

In a father’s lifetime there may be many regrets in his heart

For not doing enough for his family from the start

Working early in the morning and many times in the night

When he sees his child it is such a wonderful sight

For the love of his child he will try and make everything right

For he wants his child’s future to be sunny and bright

There are tears that a child will cry that only a father can hear

For to a father his child’s love is dear

For a father wants his child’s future to be sunny and bright

So that he knows that when he passes his child will be alright

There is nothing for his child that a father will not give

To help his children treasure the lives that they live

To see them grow up big and strong

And to know that one day they will be able to make it on their own

A father never wants his child to pass before he will

But a father has to accept what will be God’s will

For when a father knows that God has prepared a place for his child

For when a father thinks of God’s love he will still be able to smile

A father will always pray that his child will understand

There are things that I father must do to be able to call himself a man

For there may be many struggles and sacrifices that a father will go through When his child become a woman or a man he pray his child will understand

That there are situations that life will put us through

And we will need to stand strong and have trust in what we do

For a father’s love for his children will always be true

No matter what life will put a father through

A Moment Of Silence

There are moments when we can feel a silence

There is a moment of peace that is heaven sent

A moment of peace for the heart and the mind

Can be but seconds but last until the end of time

Such moments are given to us by God’s grace

When in our hearts and minds God’s love find a place

We cry a tear that has been withheld for years

For the prayers that we pray God truly hears

Given us a moment to reflect on our lives

Comes from the love that God will always provide

It can only take a moment for our sorrows to be washed away

It can only take a moment when we listen to what God has to say

God takes us back to the moments of our births

To show us that it was our destiny to be born upon the earth

God shares with us the road that we take

And then gives us a chance in the choices that we make

For God will always have an open door

There is no one that can ever love us more

For God always gives us a chance at redemption

From God’s love there is no exception

There are moments when we can feel a silence

There is a moment of peace that is heaven sent

For everyone that is born upon this earth

Are loved by God from the moment of their births

For God’s love is what we can never deny

It is a love that we can have trust in until the day that we die

It is a love that can bring out the child in us

As we listen and learn about a love that we can trust

There are times when we may seem to talk too much

That may be because we are able to feel God’s touch

And we want to reach out to others and try our best

To let them know that God will love them no less

For although we may all born in different places and times

God’s love will always be able to reach out and touch our hearts and minds

For being human we are not perfect in the lives that we live

But we can learn from our mistakes and change the way that we feel

God knows that in our lives we may commit sin

For when we kneel down and pray we cannot pretend

God was able to look inside of our hearts the day that our lives did begin

That is why we are only fooling ourselves if we try to pretend

God will not leave us to travel alone

But God will allow us to learn so that we may grow strong

God knows every tear that we will every cry

Just like God knows every bird that will ever fly

There are moments when we can feel a silence

There is a moment of peace that is heaven sent

For the sins that we commit we will kneel down and repent

For we know that a moment of peace can be heaven sent

A Nice Day

It is a nice sunny day to be talking the day away

Yet we are doing what we like we are even flying a kite

We are living in the moment that we are being given

Finding a way to treasure the lives that we are living

It is a good day for us to play ball even if we sometimes fall

We can do whatever we feel as long as we keep it real

We are not worrying about what other people do

We are only trying to live our lives true

We go out and we sometimes make some friends

Strengthening some relationships that will last to the end

We go out and we listen to what other people say

Learning if there are some things we can do in a better way

Sometimes we get together beneath the street signs

To talk about the struggles in our lives

The things that we had to do to survive

And about the joy of just being alive

We sometimes walk to the store instead of ride in a car

For sometimes the stores that we go to are not very far

We share our food with our families and our friends

Hoping to be a part of their lives until the very end

It is a nice sunny day to be talking the day away

But we are happy that people will listen to what we have to say

We are living in the moment that we are given to live

We bathe in the love that we can feel

A Promise Of Freedom

A promise of freedom that we hear

Can start the crying of our tears

A promise of freedom through the years

Can take away our worries and our fears

For we are finally able to see

There can be no other promise that means more to you and me

Than the promise that will set you and me free

A promise that we pray will come to be

A promise can disappear in the air

But in our hearts this promise we will always care

For this promise is most dear to our hearts

For it offers us a brand new start

A promise of freedom from our worries and our fears

Can lighten our hearts as we live through the years

Giving us a chance to treasure each moment that we live

For in our hearts there is a lightness that we will feel

We may ask ourselves can a promise mean so much

When the promise is fulfilled our hearts will be forever be touched

For our hearts will be open and we will feel

When a promise made to us has become real

A promise can be filled with our hopes and our dreams

Although sometimes a promise may never be seen

God’s promise to us opens our hearts to God’s
