About this ebook
This book is inspired by the book of Psalms written by King David in the Bible. I asked God one day why A Treasure to Pray, and he said verily unto me, These words I give you are not mere words, for they are words with value, words of truth, words of light piercing through the shadows of your within each time you speak them unto me, making your rest complete in me as you become whole again. So I share this beauty and grace with you, and I hope every word adds a spark to your life according to his perfect will. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. To God be the glory!
Ruth Ocloo
As a young woman, Ruth has always loved to write, and becoming an author was one thing she always craved. Viewing the world in God’s perspective filled her heart with words, words she longs to share with the world so that they too may be blessed. It’s like showing the world JESUS with every grain of gifts or talents He has deposited in us. As Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” Ruth is a college student, and she lives in Maryland.

INTRODUCTION:
I remember when I was a little girl and my parents would take me to church every day, I was so excited about the whole church thing but didn’t really understand the real value of going to church. For all my little mind was thinking of was ice cream
at the end of the service, my parents would always buy that for me. I remember when I grew into a teenager and my mother would wake me up for morning devotion and I would wear a frown on my face because I thought she was disturbing my sleep. I didn’t really realize she was helping me. I remember when I was so unwise, always trying to please others. I was addicted to getting the approval of others, very afraid to confront them especially in my friendships. I was always sitting in my little boat of misery clouded with bitterness, fear and anger and forcing a smile on my face as if everything was okay. I remember when I thought I was the ugliest creature ever. I would look into the mirror and hate the image I see reflecting in the mirror. I would bury my face in my pillow at night and cry myself to sleep; at times I would grumble at GOD why he created me so ugly. I remember when I thought the only way the world would be happy was for me to die. I thought I didn’t have a reason to live, I never knew how important I was until I heard a little whisper in my
