Marilyn D. Priester

Mrs. Marilyn D. Priester is retired military (United States Army) whom served in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She lives in Prince George, Virginia with her husband (retired military) Mr. Ray V. Priester and their pet boxer named Emanuel. With the support of a loving husband and family they inspired her to continue doing something she enjoyed with a great passion which is writing poetry. Following her heart Marilyn never knew that one day her poems would be published for everyone else to enjoy.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

First I would like to thank God who is the head of my life. I’m very grateful to have been able to actually express what’s on my heart. To include have a very strong husband that supported me through a lot and encourage me to do this. I can not forget all the love and support my family gave me as well.

My poetry is dedicated to my family and friends. I’ve been writing poetry all my life but, only allowing my family and close friends to read what I’ve been writing. Now God has given me the strength to let the world read it as well.

I’ll leave you with some encouraging words; always remember, surround yourself with positive people saying and doing positive things while never deviating from your plans.

Have you ever had something so precious in life; I prayed and asked GOD to put a

special woman into my life; someone that will
