REFLECTIONS
Truth be told, when looking beyond the realm of life, seems simple if everything could turn out perfect. For one woman, felt her life had no major complications. Now, Elise Mercedes Devereaux grew up in the suburban area of Denver Colorado. She is of Spanish American descent. Her life was supposed to be free of worries and she thought it was free. She had close ties to her family which consisted of her mother, Ann. She had two sisters, Portia and Joni. Her brother Pierre was always a very caring person to her thus, he could be labeled as her father figure. He always gave her advice. Now her father, Miguel Devereaux rarely had contact with the family. The family was never bothered by his departures. He cared very much for his family but regret the times he was always away from them. He wanted very much to be with Elise but time away left him out of contact. He did not even write letters to her. Yet, writing her would have kept close ties that bind a family together. He would only think about herself. Elise did not grow up around him. She is a very bright person who never had any major foughts. She didn’t oppose to anything the family planned to do. She was a righteous person. Every now and then, she would tell a white lie. For instance, she told her mother she had finished her homework but she did not. If she had to clean her bedroom, she postponed it until later. However, she was never a dysfunctional child. She had no abnormalities. Besides those minor occurrences, the family always thought that Elise were a very happy individual. She never showed or expressed any negative values thus she was never in denial. She was a beautiful human being. Through her teenage years, she would be approaching adolescence. She was always serious and had a new outlook on life. Her family remained very close to herself. She was very normal and her conditions were the same. For enjoyment, she would accompany the family on trips to Malibu. It was a pastime the family loved to do together. When they returned home, the family ate supper together. They went on expeditions, a journey with the circle of family members. These outings made the family stay closer together. Then, she enrolled and finished high school at the Juneau School of Business. She studied hard and received a grade point average of 3.5 on her student report. This was a positive step that would move her into college studies. In her early twenties, she was waiting to enter into the workforce. At the very age of twenty-one, she became employed with B&L Corporation, a marketing firm. She joined the ranks of other executives. Also, in their twenties and in her field of work. She had a lifetime goal that she wanted to achieve. She would move into the upper ladder of success. Success inspired her to do some other things in life. She entered into college. At the age of twenty-five, she obtained a Baccalaureate degree in marketing thus, she were making a real good salary. Her boss felt that she was an excellent employee. He praised her work on several occasions. He said, Elise, you are doing a fantastic job.
We received the marketing development project.
I was looking it over and it’s ready to go to the Board of Director’s for final approval.
Everything was going well for her but there was a time when she encountered a sudden problem on the job. At this time, Elise did not mention it to anyone until later. No one helped her but one co-worker told her that she would be okay. She did not even speak to the boss about it. She sought help elsewhere and turned out to be back to her old self again. The problem went away. Again, Elise still felt so good about working; she would attend Penn State University to obtain a Master’s degree. She was very well educated and finished her studies in Marketing. She was doing quite well financially. In her late twenties, she bought a condominium for $220,000.00. She made payments of $6,000 a month. Now, Elise furnished the condominium lavishly. She had a drop down floor. She purchased a French style living room group. The condo came with a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. She had beautiful vases all around the condo. She even bought a European style king size bedroom suite. Then, she purchased a Mercedes Benz for $50,000.00. Indeed, she lived a luxurious lifestyle. At the age of thirty-five, she had plenty of money. Elsie did not grow up in the rural city of Denver. She loved the suburbs. She was not poor or broken down. She became quite wealthy. She would
