About this ebook

Kisses and kitchens are more connected than most people can ever imagine. A kiss is an expression of love. It is an indication of intimacy, a show of affection. The kitchen is a place of cooking. It is a centre for the practical demonstration of a wifes love for her husband and a husbands love for his wife. Just as a kiss is ministered out of a heart of affection, so the ministry in the kitchen is rendered out of a heart of care and consideration.

Kiss Me in the Kitchen is a unique book. It deals with the following:
*The kitchen as an altar for the preservation of love and life
*The relationship of kissing and the priesthood of the kitchen-place
*How husbands and wives can kiss each other in the kitchen-place
*How parents can kiss their children and teach them to minister in the kitchen
*Kissing and the restoration of the biblical patterns of nutrition
*Releasing the rainbow colours of the kitchen
*Turning your spouse into a celebrity chef
*The ministry of the watchman and intercession in the kitchen
*How to kiss your spouse with love poems in the kitchen
*The health benefits of kissing in the kitchen
*Kissing for divine breakthrough in the kitchen

The passion to cook a lovely meal is as powerful as the preparation to give a passionate kiss. As kissing is indispensable to lovers, so is the kitchen indispensible to families.

    CHAPTER ONE

    KISS ME IN THE KITCHEN!

"Happiness is like a kissin order to get any good out of it, you have to give it to someone else"—Larry James.

Judy had gone to visit her childhood friend who just returned from her honeymoon. She was out of the country when Joni got married to Joseph. Filled with regret and not knowing how Joni would respond to her for missing a wedding everyone tagged awesome, she tiptoed into the house, excited and anxious at the same time.

The atmosphere in Joni’s new home was serene; soft music was creeping out of the wall. The sweet smell of perfume permeated everywhere. Not wanting to disturb the peace of the house, Judy walked in unnoticed. Peeping into the kitchen, when she did not see anyone in the sitting room, she saw the love-birds in a passionate embrace. Joseph’s lips were glued to those of his new wife. Softly and tenderly, they kissed each other. The secret sound of their lips in action could be heard as husband and wife were glued to each other like Siamese twins. The kettle was boiling over the stove, irritatingly blowing its whistle as though to warn the newlyweds that an intruder was in the house. But Joni and Joseph continued their marathon session of intimacy completely oblivious of the kettle’s warning.

Judy stood there not knowing whether to tip-toe out the way she came or to call their attention to her presence. Intrigued by this demonstration of love, she stood there with her imagination running wild again as was the case when she first got married. She realised that it was a long time she and Ken engaged in this kind of moment unfolding before her. She remembered the joy they shared when they first got married, how they were then inseparable. It was as though she saw a film clip activated by a new light. It seemed to have taken eternity before Joni and Joseph noticed Judy’s presence and then broke their embrace.

Judy returned to her home after the very instructive pilgrimage to her friend’s house. She had been away for so long that Ken was wondering where she had gone to. He was waiting at the door when Judy appeared looking weary. Ken, overjoyed, grabbed and drew his wife close, intending to show her what seemed like a halfhearted affection. To his surprise, Judy rebuffed him and walked into the house. He was still wondering what had become of his wife when she turned to him and said, Kiss me in the Kitchen. Judy walked into the place she hitherto only prepared meals, which now held a whole new significance for her. Looking like a man hypnotized, Ken promptly followed his wife into the kitchen, not knowing what would happen next.

    CHAPTER TWO

WHAT DOES A KISS HAVE TO DO WITH

    THE KITCHEN?

The kitchen is the heart of every home just as a kiss is the heartbeat of every dynamic love—Dr. Steve Ogan.

This was the question Ken was pondering in his mind when he sheepishly followed his wife into the kitchen as she said, Kiss me in the kitchen!

What most husbands fail to realize is that virtually every wife, in one way or another, is like Judy saying, Kiss me in the Kitchen. To appreciate why every woman wants to be kissed in the kitchen, men must be willing to love their wives the way they desire to be loved and respected. Gary Smalley writes that every woman has a storybook expectation of her husband. This storybook has been written on the tablet of her heart long before she met you. It has been the subject of many daydreams, lady-talks, and creative imaginations since adolescence. The book has been reviewed, written and re-written in many virtual editions. It has been waiting for the right man to publish it.

One woman desired that her husband should be able to sing, dance, crack jokes and stay home all night. Someone warned her that what she needed is not a husband but a television set. This warning notwithstanding, no one could get this woman to renounce the storybook expectation she had of her husband-to-be. She was fully expectant, hoping that one day a prince-charming would come along to fulfill her dream and make her story come true.

SO WHAT HAS A KISS GOT TO DO WITH

    THE KITCHEN?

A kiss is an expression of love. It is an indication of intimacy, a show of affection. The kitchen is a place of cooking. It is a place for the practical demonstration of the wife’s love for her husband and vice versa. Kitchens are places of intimacy. They are usually secluded and out of bounds to outsiders who do not really belong to a family. Just as a kiss is ministered out of a heart of affection, so what happens in the kitchen is a ministry rendered out of care and consideration. A meal prepared, spiced and shared with tenderness, is like a mutual ministration of love shared by two lovers.

The kitchen is like the home office of most women. They want this office at home to be a place of beauty. They want their husbands to share their concerns about what goes on there. This is why on every woman’s lips is
