INTRODUCTION
Signpost is a post bearing a sign that shows the way, as at roadside. It serves as a clue or indication. This masterpiece has been compiled to give people quick relief when they need help. ‘SIGN POST’ is not just another book. It is a life-transforming message. It covers powerful messages that have the ability to bring change. It is set up to be read and reflected upon when you need help. Do not approach the book in a hurried way. Take your time. Meditate upon each article and try to apply the truths learn to your daily life.
To get the most out of SIGN POST you need to do five things:
• Read it expectantly
• Read it regularly
• Say each Scripture aloud
• Use the prayers as your prayer guide.
• Read each article carefully. Explore the meaning of the article, ask yourself: What is the main point of each article? What does it teach me? Is there a warning, counsel, command, promise or example to take special notice?
What gives me hope and joy is to uplift and develop others. It is my vision to get people excited about growing to their potential. My goal is to see that every person experiences self-worth, success and fulfillment. ‘SIGN POST’ offers penetrating insights on how we can achieve this goal and make our lives productive and fulfilling.
Nobody escapes disappointments, pain, loss, death. In one way or another, at any given time, most of us experience some or all of these. In times of frustration, difficulty and loss, we all need support and encouragement. SIGN POST won’t just pose many questions but will give us some answers too. It will help us empower ourselves by making the most of our God-given talents and opportunities which many of us don’t take advantage of. Take the best of SIGN POST, comprehend it, use it and make something out of life.
God bless you.
Michael Marnu
ADVERSITY
‘I will lie down and sleep in peace’
Psalm 4:8
As you drive towards your destiny you will hit potholes and take wrong turns; the only way to avoid the course is to never leave your driveway.
Misfortune comes of itself and finds its way even on the darkest night. It comes to all men. It is not that which can be avoided, but that which cannot. It comes at undetermined times; its arrival cannot be pinpointed beforehand. It arrives on horseback but departs on foot and appears to never come singly. As they say, ‘it never rains but it pours’; ‘of one ill comes many’; ‘ill comes often on the back of worse’.
Nevertheless, adversity has some value about which there are many wise sayings: adversity they say ‘makes a man wise, not rich’; ‘brings experience and experience brings wisdom’; ‘it comes with instruction in its hand’; ‘no man better knows what good is than he who endured evil’
Prayer: God I am not counting on my strength but on you.
