Evelyn: Laugh When You Can Cry If You Must
Author

Evelyn M. Henderson

I Evelyn was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. I am married to The Rev. Thomas B. Henderson who for 17 years has pastored North Side Baptist Church. This coming March 5, 2012, Tom and I will be married for 47 years. I have two children, Penny and Tom Jr. I also have 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. I hope sometime along the way, you may have the time to lay in under an Old Oak Tree and laugh until you cry. And, then again sitting by a fireplace as the snow falls and reflect back on the tales and memories of my past, present & future. Simply, Evelyn

I HAVE BEEN MARRIED TO EVELYN ALMOST 50 YEARS, I AM SO HONORED TO GET TO WRITE A FORWARD FOR HER BOOK OF THE GREATEST POETRY.SHE IS A LADY OF GREAT POISE AND UNDERSTANDING. BEING MY WIFE ALL THESE YEARS, WE ARE SO CLOSE. OUR FAITH AND PRAYERS ARE ALWAYS THINKING OF THE WELLFAIR OF OTHERS. EVELYN AND I WERE BOTH RAISED POOR. WE NEVER LOST SIGHT OF OUR TEACHINGS. HER POETRY IS NOT EDITED FOR A REASON. SHE WANTED TO BE REMEMBERED JUST AS IT WAS WRITTEN. THIS WOMAN IS THE MOST INTELLENGENT LADY I HAVE EVER KNOWN. YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND SOME OF THE WRITINGS, BUT SHE LIVED MUCH OF IT AND SHE IS THE MOST HONEST PERSON YOU WILL EVER LEARN ABOUT.
