‘cause our rhythms can’t be contained to Black and White AM sound waves.

We laugh blue smiles and cry orange tears and give lavender love ‘cause we ain’t a paint-by-number Mona Lisa.

We speak drum rhythms,

give birth to Black pearls named Nikki and Sonia.

Raise African Violets out of concrete jungles,

sing Black, Red, and Green symphonies and write revolutions.
