Prologue
An article written by Anonymous posted two weeks ago.
ANONYMOUS Writes . . . AWAY WE GO . . .
The days have slipped by. It is now the sixtieth day of our journey for education. Freedom for the seniors to boss anyone they want. Freshmen welcome and beware . . . there are those who appear to be wolves in sheep’s clothing.
It is they who move secretly among us and appear as angels, but the truth is, they are not. They use us, laugh behind our backs, and enjoy making the ‘less than superior ones,’ miserable. I don’t think any of you are less than superior, and therefore I am also baffled as to who actually falls into this category, and why some of us are subject to their slaughter? Maybe someone should ask them . . . ??
Ah, the joys of high school. We believe we can hold our heads high with our accomplishments, but somehow it does not match the popularity of our cheerleaders aka the Benevolent Angels.

Chapter One
THE CHALLENGE
It seems there is an interesting bulletin at the main entrance. A very daring one if I might add,
Ms Williams stated, her blue eyes twinkling mischievously.
Carrie, editor of the school’s paper, Knowledge, looked up and chewed her pencil thoughtfully, Yes, a very interesting one. Almost like a challenge, I might say.
All eyes turned towards Barbara but since she rarely spoke up unless necessary, everyone looked at Ms Williams again. They knew that eventually when Barbara spoke; it would be an interesting contradiction.
Barbara was aware that they were looking at her, waiting for her to speak. However, she barely glanced at them giving the impression she was not paying attention, but everyone at the editorial board knew better. She would eventually speak up.
I think it’s because of that article the Great Anonymous tossed out a few weeks ago,
a blonde girl said. She was the photographer, a good one at that. She kept taking photos of everything and everyone, eventually piling them on Ms William’s desk hoping all of her hard work would be accepted.
The silence in the room was understandable as they looked at each other. They were all of course still trying to figure out which one of them was Anonymous.
Do you think it’s because of that?
Ms Williams asked.
They sure did retaliate fast. You’d think they don’t even read our paper!
Kenneth said. He was a lean boy, with dark brown hair and green eyes. He had a dimple when he smiled and all the girls fell for him immediately. He was in charge of the sports section.
For someone who dates them, you sure know them pretty well,
Barbara spoke up, without even looking at him. The others snickered, and then someone poked her rib, so she sat upright. She turned to see who had done that but as usual everyone looked away innocently. They knew it was only a matter of time before Barbara would be lost in her writing.
Suddenly she grinned, Challenge you say? From our cheerleaders?
A smile appeared on all the faces. They were always amazed at the way she could be at two places at one time. She looked like she was totally absorbed with her task while two people stood asking for her opinion and then she’d immediately give her answer without so much as looking up from what she was doing.
So, are we going to do something about it?
Ms Williams asked, although she did look pointedly at Barbara for a while before her eyes swept the room.
I’m all for it,
Carrie said.
The rest of the girls nodded enthusiastically except for Barbara of course.
Maybe we should get Barbie here involved as well,
Kenneth said.
I will not fall for such foolish challenges,
Barbara mumbled, still bent over her article, ignoring the pet name Kenneth used. He would never call her Barb or Barbara… just Barbie.
Well, I do encourage all of you girls. Guys, any tips on what Brandon Chavez likes or dislikes would be a good team effort. I do believe the challenge is a direct assault on us. Besides, Brandon Chavez is a good catch,
Ms Williams said smiling.
Barbara looked at her teacher with
