With over 30 years of working in the addictions field he emphasizes that most people with a substance use or abuse disorder generally tend to be Oppositional, Rebellious and Defiant. He has creatively and effectively developed unique concepts he refers to as the essential Eleven Powers and in conjunction with these he has developed methods and techniques to fully implement those Powers through what he has referred to as the Arts. For the addict and alcoholic who cannot or will not surrender or admit they are powerless; he offers the novel and revolutionary paradoxical approach that involves using "Self Defiance" to develop the ability to "Resist the Resistance" He proves that "Self Defiance is the Key to recovery NOT "Willingness!" --it is through this process that self-esteem and value are fully rebuilt and the person recognizes "I have come “TOO FAR NOW”—to fall back and relapse!"
