Author

Daniel E. Thomasson

Over the past forty years, Daniel Thomasson taught children Bible stories, music, chess, and guitar. During his lessons, Daniel would tell them stories about various animals he has seen around the world. When he told them about lions, their attention never wavered. At Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, Wiltshire, England, Mr. Thomasson observed lions being given ostrich eggs to eat for nutrition. They would play with the eggs, roll them around, get tired, and fall asleep. It took them a while to figure out how to crack the eggshells. Their actions gave him the idea for his book: The Lion and the Egg. Daniel lived in Germany, Japan, England, and around the USA from California to Texas and from Maryland to North Carolina. In 1979, he received an associate of arts degree in music and history from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. His bachelor of science degree in communications came in 1986 from the University of the State of New York, Albany, New York. Daniel later completed his master’s of divinity degree in 1989 from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louiville, Kentucky, with majors in theology and pastoral management. Daniel has lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, now for the past twenty years. He is a published poet, author, musician, and inventor.
