Our time on earth is finite which history knows for sure

As a river run its course, our path of life we must endure.

Ticking seconds are a part of life and flee by with amazing speed

Sixty seconds to each minute, regardless of act or deed.

Once that minute has passed, you can never get it back

Each life is individual and runs on its personal track.

An hour is part of life, each one composed of sixty minutes

Every life is different but expect to get out, what you put in it.

Hours are slower than seconds but they can move pretty fast

Those hours you waste doing nothing become your permanent past.

Time is nothing new; it has been on Earth for many years

Time always obey Almighty God regardless of mortal’s deathly fears.

If you are desperate to see someone; it seems like you are waiting to die.

We are put on this Earth for such a short time or so the story goes

How much time we have on Earth, only God in heaven knows.

Introduction

My name is Thomas Baxter and this is a true account of my family’s unpleasant experience of facing the possibility of being forced out of our dream home. My wife, Amy and our three children, Regina, Barry, and Russell were all excited at the prospect of moving to a brand new custom built home in Lake of the Woods, VA. I was relocating my family from Beltsville, MD because of a job promotion and the opportunity to live in a more secure area.

The names of the characters in my story have been changed to protect their true identity and respect their privacy due to the nature of the events my family experienced. I had a chance to visit a dear friend’s home in the gated community of Lake of the Woods before Amy and I discussed the thought of moving there. When the opportunity came for us to relocate, we looked at the features of safety, day care availability, and recreational opportunities for our family at Lake of the Woods. The two biggest selling points for us were the security patrols of the property by a private security agency and the after school care for Regina at the day center where our two boys would be.

I could not have imagined the amount of stress and consternation our lives would endure on the occasion that our everyday life collided with unwanted visitors for the spiritual world. In the beginning when odd events took place in our home, Amy and I tried to rationalize the occurrences as the house going through a settling process. Over a period of time we came to the realization that the strange incidents were more serious than a house just going through a settling process.

My name is Thomas Baxter and I currently live in Beltsville, MD with my wife, Amy and our three children, Regina age 6, Barry age 2, and Russell 4 months. I have just been offered a very good job opportunity to return to VA by my supervisor, Jack Ryan, the national account manager of Ryan’s Security Systems. James Ryan Sr., the president of the company and Jack’s father made the decision to move Jack to head up the new office in Fredericksburg, VA. Jack asked me to join him and remain a valuable member of his team.

I was born in the state of Virginia at the Fairfax County Hospital. I attended public schools in the Fairfax County School District from grades 1 thru 12. Upon graduation from high school, I began and completed my college education at George Mason University. I entered the Reserve Officer Training Candidate program while I was at GMU. I later transferred from a US Army reserve unit to active duty status as a Marine Corps officer whereby I completed the necessary training to graduate as a Second Lieutenant.

I began my career in the civilian market as a sales representative for Brinks security systems and was assigned an area in Maryland. At that time I was living in my birth state of Virginia. I met Amy while I was working in MD. We dated, got married, purchased a townhouse, and began our family in Beltsville. I was doing well and had established a dependable customer base with small commercial businesses when I was introduced to Jack by my friend,
