When Tomorrow Comes

When tomorrow comes, Ill look back on today and say,
I knew it would be different from today and yesterday.
And Ill remind myself of how far I have come from where I used to be.
Ill tell myself that trust in God is all its meant to be.
Ill say, Thank You Lord for the trials you brought me through
And Ill thank God for His faithfulness in spite of my doubting too.
Ill repent of my sins and change my sinful ways.
Ill remember Gods promise to heal and forgive with praise.
Ill always treasure this day because I know that as I pray;
When tomorrow finally comes, it will always be today.

She is the interim chair of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, as well as an assistant professor, at Grambling State University. She and her husband, Rickey E. Johnson, live in Shreveport, Louisiana; they have four children and nine grandchildren.
