About this ebook

On The Way Here is basically about the pass life of an African Tribe, whom one day found themselves in a serious negotiation of their lives with every intent from the King that their lives would be fruitful. The promise then takes the path in which it was meant and The Tribe was mercilessly scattered. But time and change allows the generations to except fate and acquire fresh ways of dealing with their adversities. Which ultimately leads to the acceptance of each other.

Rosemary Jeanne Foulkes

She is a down to earth person with a flare for dreaming. She takes the pass and recalculates it per the present. She admires creation and understands that all things have a purpose. She likes to create poems as well and recites them to her family and friends. She believes that the family should be the 'Crucial Audience' because they come in all age ranges and thoughts and experiences and once the phase of Alright!!! Has been established, then it is safe to expose. Families are diamonds and should not be cut.

Queen Kella, 19 year old, lady in waiting.

    On The Way Here

It was about that time for the crops to give their fruit and vegetables to our tribe. The animals were mating and some were bearing another generation, knowing that their time on this earth would be cut short, all this for the reassurance of food source to mankind as God said it should be. The children played a game, called, how far can you throw the rocks. The children would throw rocks over the cliff into the ocean and if your rock made a big splash you won the trick was the bigger the rock the greater the splash. The teenaged girls dare the boys to cross the lines. They used their beautiful figures, cheek bones, long legs and round hips to entice the boys to willingly cross over, the parents laugh at them knowing that soon, the teenaged girl and boy will be the husbands and the girl’s the wives and they will be expected to add to the making of generations. When the first girl gets her boy to cross the line, the others push her onto him and they laugh with each other. He helps her to her feet and bows to her. He holds her hand and presses it firmly to his face, as if he is saying, Finally you’re mine. But, what the parents don’t know is that they have admired each other for some time. This act, makes dating for them official in the eyes of the parents. Now the teenaged boys must start his Chest of Hope and present it to her family. Growing up in Zambwee Village was a very happy time for all.

I never thought that money would actually change our traditions of love, of family and rob us of our marital ceremonies such as mating and the production of life. My name is Kella and I am 19 years Old. The reason I am not married yet, is because I am promised to The King himself and he is not ready for me. So I wait and do as I am told, that’s the Law of My Tribe. I never had the chance to participate in The Dance Ritual because at the tender age of eight the elders of the tribe inscribed my name on a registry.
