Carla Pearce

I'm an independent erotica author who lives with her incredibly supportive husband and our baby, Nina, the dog. My fascination with human sexuality and everything erotic and sensual goes beyond writing. Having studied arts taught me to think creatively and concentrate on what's truly important in life - love and passion. Oh, and periodically some raw, carnal sex, of course, just to keep the fire burning.

So how did it go with that online date last night? Charlie took a sip from his morning cup of cappuccino. Damn this cup of chino is good!

J rolled his eyes in exasperation at such a non-harmonious set of sounds and sighed.

For the last time, Charlie, it’s called ‘cappuccino, C-A-P-P-U-C-C-I-N-O’!

Geez, relax, man. The date must’ve been pretty horrendous then.

Heh, horrendous? My date didn’t even show up. J admitted begrudgingly. It was the second time his online date just simply decided to abandon the mission 5 minutes before and abstain from answering any follow up messages.

Well, that explains the moodiness. Charlie finished up the drink and, after savoring the last drops of the glorious warm beverage for another couple of minutes, he coughed and added And by the way, here is another stack of designs you need to revise by tomorrow. The boss sends his greetings. Charlie left with a lightness in his walk as he thought about his upcoming vacation in a few days.

J meanwhile exhaled and let his head drop into his extended palms. The rest of the day sure didn’t look good. The amount of work to finish in the upcoming days had just doubled, the stress had tripled and his stomach was gurgling menacingly. The situation called for the immediate prioritization of an early lunch. J nervously grabbed his wallet and employee key card, before crouching out of the office as discreetly as possible.

Maybe I’ll go for an Italian this time. He uttered to himself and walked down the block into a new family friendly restaurant in town. The first scent that welcomed J upon his entrance was a strong fragrance of zesty tomato sauce and bread. J instinctively knew that this was the perfect place for his early lunch.

There were only a few tables and not more than a dozen available chairs. There was no one around, only a conversation in what sounded like Italian far away. J took the only table that had been prepared for lunch. The other tables still held coffee mugs, unfinished bread toasts and trial sized butter containers. There was a counter with varieties of Italian snacks and groceries. Behind the counter was a small serving area and the hall beyond led into what appeared to be the kitchen. The heated conversation was coming from down the hall when it suddenly stopped, followed by a heartfelt groan and the sound of footsteps approaching.

A somewhat tall brunette appeared through the door. The full bodied figure combined with a beautiful, yet sulky looking pale face saw J and immediately rolled her eyes. She walked up with what could only be described as clear discontent in her stride.
