The Fuckboy Dictionary

Before we dive in, it’s important to define a few of the terms used throughout the course of this book.

Fuckboy (a.k.a. F-Boy)

A term commonly used by men for a guy too untrustworthy to fuck with; or a man used primarily for sex in the prison system.

Most commonly, the term refers to non-committal men who are more interested in sex than building genuine relationships; another word used in place of a cheater, time waster, liar, asshole or manipulator

This book’s definition: Someone who can’t (or isn’t willing) to give a woman what she desires or deserves in an actual relationship; yet, she fucks with him anyway!

A few secondary terms to know beforehand are:

Ghosting

A disappearing act where someone remains silent for days, weeks, or even months at a time. Said person may pop back up unexpectedly, usually with a HEY – or HEY STRANGER text as though they didn’t just fall off the face of the Earth.

Friends with Benefits

Two people who have agreed not to be in a relationship and only have sex with one another. The ‘friend’ part is vague and up for interpretation.

Fuckboy Adrenaline Rush

The hormones released when a fuckboy comes in and out of your life. The only explainable reason why anyone would decide to entertain a fuckboy.

The Fuckboy Contract

This contract represents the terms and conditions you unwittingly agree to when you don’t check a fuckboy on his tactics (see chapter 3).

Ready Woman or Ready Man

Someone who has achieved personal growth both mentally, and spiritually and are now ready to share his or her lives with another ‘Ready’ person to build a genuine, committed relationship.

Situationship

An un-acknowledged, toxic relationship of two ‘supposedly’ single people half-assing it to prevent any real discussion about emotions or feelings that would label it an actual relationship; An open relationship

Fuckboy Text Lingo

HEY

The text, that if answered, starts the fuckboy games; If the HEY is followed with stranger, the fuckboy is reemerging from his ‘ghosting’ phase.

WYD

A text commonly sent from a fuckboy that asserts the time-wasting process. Although in normal text it means – What (are) you are doing? In Fuckboy speak it means What are you doing because I want you to come through (either right now or much later) so that I can have sex with you - then I’ll ghost you until I’m ready to have sex with you again.

COME THRU

Typically a text that follows the ‘WYD’ text, eventually followed by some low-budget activity like Netflix.

SEND ME A PIC

A fuckboy tactic that tries to speak to your ego by asking you for sexy photos; the request however, is typically not meant of your face!

DTF (An abbreviation for ‘down to fuck?’)

Typically used by lazy fuckboys who get straight to the point about their intentions; mostly seen on hook-up apps like Tinder.

Netflix and Chill

A fuckboy’s idea of a ‘date’ – includes coming over to his house on the premise of watching a movie on Netflix – which will later turn into a back massage – which inevitably turns into sex.

Why A Book About Fuckboys?

Four years ago I was thrown back into the worst freakin’ assault known to womankind – modern day dating (okay, maybe not the worst, but you’d have to agree it’s pretty freakin’ bad out here!). Actual dating to get to know someone seemed to be a thing of the past – taken over by a lil’ phenomenon called Netflix and chill. While Tinder and other easy-access hookup sites made casual sex (as well as HPV and other STI’s) as easy as swiping right. Consequently, situationships and ‘friendships with benefits’ were taking over the dating scene, leaving little hope for those poor, unfortunate souls searching for true love. It was quite depressing; enough to make plenty of women lock themselves in their bedrooms with pints of ice cream and tampons – never to be seen or heard from on the dating scene again.

I feel a shift coming now though. Like a fresh, spring bloom, women are reemerging from their homes in hopes of finding real men. Fed up with the nonsense of fuckboys, they’re looking to be treated like women, and not like objects. They’re in search of genuine relationships and not situationships, and to spend their time with men, not boys. But where the hell are these men in a dating scene that seems boggled down with fuckboys? They’re out there – waiting for women to stop allowing fuckboys in!

That’s right.  You and other women have the power to change the current fuckboy landscape. We are superheroes in our own rite, we just have to band together and say no to the fuckery.  Forget the Ninja Turtles, we’re badass Ninja Women!  Can you imagine if fuckboys saw a ninja woman whipping around her nun chucks every time he tried to step to her?  Fuckboys would have no place to run but back to the sewers from which they came, and only the good men would be left! I joke now, but I’m certain this can become a reality with guidance from this book.

The first half of this book focuses on fuckboys and our relationships with them, while the second half prepares you for better. If at any point it gets overwhelming, take a break, or jump to chapters as you need them. It doesn’t matter if you are just now seeing the fuckboy light, been trying to make a fuckboy cut for years now, or just dumped a fuckboy off at fuckboy daycare permanently - I’m here to walk you through it!

So why me? I have learned a lot throughout my own personal experiences with fuckboys, as well as talks with thousands of real men from my social media platform and girlfriends just like you! I initially wrote this book for my closest friends, but what kind of friend would I be if I didn’t pass on this knowledge to all women?  After all, this fuckboy epidemic has so many girls’ waterproof mascara running, even Sephora can’t keep up.  You didn’t spend ten hours contouring your face just to cry it off! So stop, now.

I want every woman to start understanding her greatness and stop settling for less than she deserves. I want to help someone else free their entire being - mind, body, and spirit - from fuckboyism, assholes, and bad dating experiences; to clear out the insecurities that arise from being in situationships with fuckboys who have nothing to offer but WYD texts, Netflix, and strife! It’s time to demand more as Ninja women and start roundhouse kicking fuckboys in their throats. After all, if men have the choice to be fuckboys, we, as women, should have the choice to not deal with them! It really is that simple. Now, go grab your nun chucks, girl! We’ve got work to do!
