About this ebook

I am the Voice of the Brick City, although there were a few situations and individuals who attempted to silence me. You could never. I realized in the art of creation that only the strong survive. Popularity doesn't make you last. It’s only temporary. You must be willing to leave an everlasting impression. I'm the only writer from Newark, New Jersey that has written damn near a hundred books and counting... all at the age of nineteen. It's crazy to think about, but it's true. I guess I’m now the spokesman for the 973. No one in a million years will take my place...

    Wings That Open Once Damaged

    Momma said I could fly.

How these wings of mine were majestic and godly which

had the ability to send sticks, stones, leaves, and people flying once I flapped them.

How you could be able to read the latitude and longitude of my hometown

all over them, deciphering the language of its five wards.

    Momma said I could fly.

I had no idea these wings of mine only opened once I

was faced with trauma, bullying, harassment, and

to top it off with a lifetime of loneliness and suffering.

I had no idea these wings of mine only opened once I lost my father.

I had no idea these wings of mine only opened when people

with cognitive dissonance slammed my dreams and beliefs.

Everything I ever believed in my loved ones set to flames.

    Momma said I could fly.

She never told me they would open once some girl I held dearest

to my heart ripped it to shreds discarded it into the

trashcan and had nothing to show for her actions.

    Momma said I could fly.

But only once I was backed into a corner.

I could only be liberated once I climbed out

of the rabbit hole society tried to bury me in.

    Momma said I could fly.

    Look, momma…

    I’m flying!

    I’m flying!

    *gunshots*

    Can I fly now?

    Urban Automata

My resistance to the misfortune in these streets multiplied
