    A SPECIAL MESSAGE

    FROM THE AUTHORESS

Speechless was written for the sole purpose of reaching the heart of the readers. It wasn’t written to adhere to grammatical guidelines or restrictions. Its short stories and essays are sprinkled with a taste of poetry, helping direct this book’s main purpose towards entertainment, enlightenment, and engaging the reader to spark conversations and share its contents. If I have failed to dot every ‘i’ and cross every ‘t’ that isn’t the real issue, the truth is… I kept it real and in your face! It is certain it’s going to leave a lot of the readers simply Speechless.

    Dedication:

To everyone who thought that a miracle couldn’t happen I dedicate this to you. Believe and you’ll see that miracles do come true. You’re holding a miracle in your hands right now There is no way that I could ever think that I would be where I am at this time of my life. I’ve been to the top and I’ve been to the bottom….but it’s hard getting back on your feet once you’ve fallen as far as I have. I’ve done things that I wasn’t proud of, I’ve been near death and back, I had fallen from grace, but I’m back on track. So whoever you are never stop dreaming because your miracles are out there. For all of you dream-killers and negative influences spreading your garbage, to try to stifle someone’s dream and hold them back….to you I say Cut it out, stop being bitter because you haven’t lived your dreams, because you’ve become a wasted blob of potential!

A special shout out to Mr. Michael Lamar Williams who steered my spiritual journey into the right direction. Also let me give great honor to some wonderful friends…Lisa Parham…Alicia M. Miles…Harold & Jason Scott…Dr. Mike Knowles…Pam Willis-Hovey…David Viers…Linda Prince Taylor…Mary Glaspole…Barbara Denise Peterson …Neva Flores…Lt. Allen Roody from The Baltimore, MD County Fire Dept…Carla Talley who calls me her Wildflower…Charlie Burgamy from Team National…and the sweetest, humble new friend Larry B. Carroll, whom I met while recuperating after surgery. Special mention of love goes out to my favorite aunt and Godmother, Carol Lucille Robertson, who was laid to rest on December 21, 2010. R.I.P.

    About the Authoress:

I’m a beautiful, Nubian, caring sister who knows how to make you laugh as well as who knows how to hug you when you’re blue. I’m a special lady who loves deeply and whose words are true.

I’ll be your friend when everyone else turns you down, as long as you’re honest and not trying to pull me down. I hate liars and I hate thieves but most of all I hate phonies.

I’m frustrated dealing with back-biters and low-down snakes and cheap guys and cheap dates.

I hate people who don’t show respect, if you don’t give it, why should you expect it back?

I’m trying to stay financially secure, so I can do what ever I want from behind my doors. I don’t beg and whine when things aren’t going my way; I stay driven looking for solutions to make things happen. My spirit is strong and my mind soars to heights that others consider to be out of reach, but they are only new unopened doors.

I will protect my family always even when they get on my nerves. I love my church family and association that serves my gospel meals and strengthens my spiritual walk. My connection with Jesus has given me much, so I’d like to share my wisdom and not rely on luck.

I want to laugh and be remembered well, for the truth in the stories that I tell so well.

    1. I loved your book Say it ain’t So especially the entry Locked Up the phrase you used I didn’t have God in my life, Perhaps if they would have had God in their life things would have been different. But this is the life I chose for me. Life gives us all a second chance and it’s never too late to turn things around. The speaker/narrator is very hard on himself/herself. I am sure he or she regrets the choices they made. But God works in mysterious ways. This was excellent. Marlene Ramirez: Journalist/Law Student, Florida, USA

    2. Terry Lyle writes in such a way that even a young person can understand. She can have you laughing and crying in one minute. Her books are down to earth and give you cause to reflect on what is being said and give it serious thought. Lady Trae, Adult Educator, Georgia, USA

    3. Authoress Lyle’s previous books Brown Bag Poetry, WOW!!! and Say It Ain’t So show that her work is gracefully magnificent, brilliant and powerfully intriguing. Minister Samuel Alexander (St. Vincent in the Caribbean Islands), Phenix City, Alabama, USA

    5. Oh my goodness your books are awesome as quoted by my beloved aunt Carol Lucille Robertson. She inspired me to reach for the sky. Her final sunset will forever be remembered. Carol Lucille Robertson was laid to rest on December 21, 2011. I’ll love you forever on this side and the other side of eternity
