Parenting in a Christian Perspective: What Every Parent Needs to Know
()
About this ebook
The book is based on God principles as being a parent. We have our own insights on how to raise our children. For instance, in the way our parents raised us. God is not with man-made philosophy or ideals. He is a Spirit, and they that worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit and Truth. John 4:24.
So in raising our children we must do it in the values and upbringing of the Lord. He will guide you into all truth. There are so many aspects and revenues in the way of parenting that we miss out on the big picture. Which is seeing the true aspect of nurturing and loving our kids the way our heavenly father loves us as His dear children.
He created us and knows everything we encounter in life and how to resolve every issue. So why shouldnt He know how to give us the ammunition we need in raising our children in the perspective of Him? Because with Him it is the right way to go. We can do everything in our little finite mind of what we feel is the right way to be a parent. But it always comes back to the maker, which is God. The ultimate parent of the whole universe. He will direct you in the way a parent should be. It is up to that individual to take heed of his word and direction for life as being a believer in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I dedicate this book to my five beautiful children, Centrell, Takita, Laquita, Shontell and Dontranell. They are my inspiration, and building blocks for the book, which kept me on guard.
In loving memory of my father, Walter Allen Spearman Sr., who will always be remembered and never forgotten. He was a wonderful Dad and a good person, who I love very much. He was always helping people no matter how tired He was. December 25, 1933-April 15, 2001.
• ACKNOWLEDGMENTS •
First and foremost, I like to thank God for inspiring me to write this book, who gave me the words to put down on paper; who guided me every step of the way, and for the things I went through during the birthing of the book.
I personally like to thank my husband, Charlie, for believing in me, for standing by me, and being an inspiration through it all.
I like to thank my mother, Mary Anna Spearman, brother, Pastor and Prophet, Robert E. Rucker, for standing by me with encouraging words and support.
I also want to thank my brother, Walter Allen Spearman Jr., who is also a Pastor, and his wife, Amy, for encouragement and believing in me. I thank God for you both.
I want to thank Deeva Denez for copy editing the book for me, and for the encouraging words of prophecy the Lord gave her concerning the book being published. I thank God for you.
• CHAPTER 1 •
WHAT EVERY CHILD NEEDS
You can do all you can for your children, clothe them, feed them and teach them right from wrong. However, if you do not teach them about Jesus, you have failed as a parent already. Because you have condemned their souls to hell. Without Jesus in anyone’s life, there is no hope for that individual.
Jesus is what children need. He can handle the different attacks that come to defeat your child’s life. What I mean is: raising your children in the way of the Lord and letting them get to know Jesus as their personal Savior will have a big impact on their lives.
Jesus knows your children better than you do. He sees the intent of their hearts. He knows their actions even before they happen. He knows the deeper depth of them, their future, and the plans He has set forth for their lives.
There is emptiness in every individual that can only be fulfilled by God. The Spirit of Jesus must be in your heart to direct you to be the parent He created you to be. You must also walk in His statues in raising your children. When hard times approach, teach them to pray. Because when you have done all you can do, prayer is what is going to bring them through. You cannot raise your children without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. What I mean is: you can raise them in the way you think is right, but they are not complete until you raise them in the way of holiness.
As in Proverbs 22:6,Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
God deals with that child in a unique way; He works on the heart of every individual. God can reach your child in ways you know not. He has ways to bring a person back to their first love, which is Jesus. So, do not neglect to teach your children about Jesus.
You can also read: Mark 10:14,But when Jesus saw it, He was much displeased, and said unto them, suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not. For of such is the kingdom of God.
Children can also inherit the kingdom. Their minds are open to the Spirit of God in what He has to say. They are very sensitive in what is being taught to them. That is why it is very important in how you raise your children. You are accountable in the things they do at a young age. They look up to you as their role model in leading them in the right way. However, how can you lead them in the right way if you are not doing what is right?
As you read in Matthew 15:14, "Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
There is no way you can raise your children in the way of righteousness if you do not accept Jesus as your personal Savior. You also must believe in His word and walk there in to be a light to your children, to let them know there is more to life than what is happening around them. If they are not taught what Jesus has for their lives, they will only think about what the world has to offer, which are drugs, sex, and fame. Children are searching for things that are going to fulfill them. They will not know differently unless you tell them.
Jesus is the way, truth, and the life. He is all they need. They might stray away through temptation, but they will never forget what is instilled inside them when they are taught what is right. Such as love your neighbor- the one you meet at school, outside the
