My Book of Poems for the World: Poems and Prose for Soul Searching
()
About this ebook
Poetry is a spiritual gift of love concerning the many evolutions and cycles that this world we call the planet earth evolves around. It is a gift of love shared by the muses of ones connectivity to bring an individual or individuals into a glorifying act of happiness and peace through each word, each line, each stanza and ending. What you choose to grasp and take with you concerning my work I pray it will be with you forever.
My Book of Poems for the World is a mixture of my work. According to how you feel at the time you pick up the book to read it. I am certain you will thumb through the pages and say to yourself, I like this one or that one. Just remember that any poem or prose you choose it is definitely up to your liking. You will enjoy them all but everyone has a favorite. I expressed many emotions and feelings in this book concerning the poetry and prose enclosed. You will find poems and prose of, love, romance, humor, spiritual enlightenment, poems and prose for just a little food for thought. On the spiritual side of it all I must say that the prose, Just One More Soul is one of my best works. It deals with the lost soul and how you must seek God for yourself. There is also, A Penny for Your Thoughts quite controversial yet it leads you to a higher power as one would say reminding you in the process of course there is only one true God. If you would go deeper into the book and study it carefully I am certain that you are going to run across what I consider a little food for thought a prose I have written titled, My Shoes, My Bed, My Table if you really have a heart ticking in your body once you finish this one prose I am certain you will become more involved in what is taking place with those who are in need of assistance. Not just the homeless but the widows, orphans and strangers who you turn your backs on daily. I Cry from the Womb is based on the awareness all mothers should have due to their ability to bring life into this world, a child crying for their mothers protection (sensitive and touching).
Although I do not consider myself to be a controversial writer I understand that some of my work does take some people into deep thought(meaning critics) and will cause them to think otherwise. I must state because of my love for all mankind I only write what I know to be factual and true, what I have experienced and what I have researched in order that the truth does not get distorted. Prose like The Whip, An Unpaid Debt, The Dim Light of Justice and a few others may spark a few thoughts concerning your creed, color or religious background. I state it is time for a positive change to occur and if my work begins to reopen the doors of concern for everyone to put their cards on the table and show their hands then there is not a need to vote.

Introduction
This book carries a variety of spices to give you the entire flavor needed to make the recipe of its entirety worth picking it up to read. You will find comfort in your lonely nights and peace in your hurried moments. You will find laughter in search of your heart desires and joy to draw you closer to God.
I thought of all the wonderful things life could bring into the eyes of people who love to read. People, who would love to have some sort of an understanding of what writers feel, think and how they get their ideas. So I wanted to write a book of poems that I could open up my thoughts to the world. Some people may call them fans or just advocate readers who really want to know the thoughts of an author, a poet or musician. To this day many phrases are captured and become analytical throughout time. Readers try very hard to find the intention of the written thought, the one I feel that gives so much credence. Today many people still jokingly repeat the old cliché of William Shakespeare To be or not to be that is the question.
The fascination behind it all is merely trying to figure out what was Shakespeare’s reasoning for making such a statement. In this book My Book of Poems for the World
I did not cover each poem concerning my thoughts as to why each poem was written. But I did write an explanation for the majority of the poems written. I pray that all of you who read the poems as well as the explanations will be uplifted in some way.
Life is so intriguing so precarious to many of us who try to analyze certain situations that lead to the question why. One of my favorite presidential quotes is based on President Barack Obama’s campaign. It should be obvious to many that he was able to grasp his belief in the word of God. He brings the United States of America to a biblical vision of now faith
, it is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. The Dreamer was able to grasp his dream and make it a reality by believing his campaign slogan Yes We Can
. Inside the pages of My Book of Poems for the World
I have written an analogy titled He Changed the thoughts of Americans
this is a tribute to President Barack Obama.
President John F. Kennedy is also another favorite of mine and is known for his famous quote Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.
This is just a little food for thought as the world began to come to a realization of America’s existence and a need to end the war in Vietnam. A nation of Americans still uses this cliché especially when it comes to a soldier who is serving his country or an American citizen who is trying to defend it. President John F. Kennedy is also known for speaking with his thumbs up gesture. It was just his way of saying everything was looking pretty good. There have been so many great men and women throughout the history of America. Some of the greatest sayings are quite humorous like the greatest of all in boxing the undisputed world champ himself Muhammad Ali
came up with the rhyme when the fight between himself and another boxing great Smokin
Joe Frazier was being setup. We all remember the rhyme Float like a butterfly sting like a bee, you hands can’t hit what your eyes can’t see.
These sayings or clichés however you chose to have it are all wonderful to remember and know. But the curiosity will forever remain with the public as to why they were made up? The whole picture of what I am trying to give you here is that people just want to know why they were stated, what was the purpose of making them up?
I have to attribute the note keeping concerning my poems in my early years of writing to my Uncle James Melvin Jones although he is deceased he taught me how to notate things at a very young age. I was taught how to put a date, the time the poem was written and put the reason for writing my poetry by him. As a young man at the age of thirteen I learned about documenting my work. I carried it throughout my years of writing and this is where it has taken me. It has brought me to the point where my fifth book My Book of Poems for the World,
is one of my favorite works.
I hope this book will touch your heart concerning the many attributes of life I have shared with you. Although I do not have a set style of writing I consider myself as being creative and versatile a God given ability and talent to create words with energy and emotions. The variety of poems that are placed in this book are unique in their own way. I pray which ever poem or prose enlightens your heart that you embrace the words and share them with someone else that you may be able to enlighten to help change the course of their life.

I all fairness to myself I will continue to write and give the word of God at the expense of my love and concern for all humanity.
The Creation of the Book Cover
The amazing creation of this book cover came to me from a spiritual revelation I had experienced while in Georgia. This was one of the strangest spiritual experiences I have ever encountered but I was later able to understand a part of the blessing I was receiving. This revelation consisted of me being elevated by God Almighty and brought up into the stratosphere with the stars, my body was just twirling around at several different speeds until it finally slowed down. I received the revelation to do this book cover as it is now being depicted, with all the stars, and the brightness of God’s resilient strength all around me. Being anointed by God is a blessing that many of us have received and are able to deal with in a positive way. I thank God that I have a graphics team that was able to take my suggestive thoughts and make them a reality for me. So for all who wondered where the idea came from in the creation of this book cover it all started with my fasting, my praying and asking God for guidance. This book cover is all God’s creation.
Here I am in my study at home working on book five. I am certain that with consistency and staying focused I will reach as well as complete the goals I have set before me.

LaTesia Christian my beautiful daughter, I am always so happy to hear that you have met another goal you have set before you. I am so proud to hear that life has embraced you and the love you have for people as you give your time to being a big sister to young girls who need positive role models in their life. I can hear the concern in your voice when I speak of other books I am working on. I thank you for all of the joy and laughter you have brought in my life especially when you call and say that you are having a Daddy’s day. This usually means that you are going to be talking for a while and all I am suppose to do is hold the phone and listen. Those are the days I look forward to… (smile). I love you Your Royalness, you will always be my little Princess, Love Daddy…Thank you for all of your support
A Special Thank You
Millicent A. Bess, your dedication and loyalty to serve and protect veterans of all branches of the armed forces makes it more than an honor to know you. The volunteer service you continue to implement non-sparingly exudes your sincere concerns for veterans who protect and serve the United States of America. You have been consistent as well as persistent in showing your respect for all men and women who have serviced the United States of America in country and on foreign soil and the laws you helped to implement and put in place to protect soldiers and their rights. There is so much more I can mention. The many late night hours you have unselfishly dedicated to giving of yourself to be an attentive ear when needed is not noticed by those who are on the outside looking in. I Major Raymond C. Christian a gentlemen and officer who has served his country in war can without any reservation whatsoever say these hours I have personally witnessed will no longer be an unmentionable statute. I can attest to the dedication you have given in assisting veterans of all branches of service. I consider this to be a formal acknowledgement. I pray that you receive this special whoooa! From myself in representation of all soldiers who have served to help protect the United States of America
A Special Thank You
Lisa Wilken, you have shown great concern and compassion toward the men of the armed forces. By you being a veteran who has served it makes me even more honored to say that you have been a vessel for other
