Welcome to Willow Lakes

My name is Dana. I live with my husband, and we just purchased a house near the lake.

One evening, when I was walking through the path, I saw something staring at me.

I turned my head around and it was gone, so I walked back into the house and I mentioned it to my husband, and he said that I probably had the skill to see the dead, like a medium.

Later that night, Dana and Joe sat near the fireplace and Joe said, Well, it is a bit chilly here. Can you put on the heat?

It is on, honey. And about two minutes later, Dana felt something touching her body, and she looked around and it was gone.

Joe came up and said, What’s wrong?

Honey, I felt something, and I cannot explain it.

Well, don’t you felt the cold in the room?

Yes, I do.

Then the wind opened up the door, and it was like there were two eyes staring at Dana.

Dana stood and then she fell to the floor, and Joe quickly picked her up.

Joe took her into the bedroom and lay her on the bed, and then he put a pillow under her head, and then she woke up and said, What happened?

Joe tried to explain, and she listened carefully, and she said, My grandmother told me about the earth-bound spirits that come to you and you try to help them out. Most of them cross over, but some stay on earth and haunt people.

Dana, you a lot about this.

"Yes, I do. I was bought up in a house that taught me about ghosts, poltergeists, and apparitions.

Dana got up form the bed and she said, I feel the presence standing at the end of the bed.

No, kidding, you do?

Yes, it feels like it is touching my hand. Then Dana said, Look! Don’t you see the shadow on the wall?

Nope! You must be kidding me.

No, I am not, Joe, and we should leave this house.

Are you saying this house is haunted?

Yes, and I believe that they are here.

We just moved in and you are saying that we should move out, no! No ghost will scare me and make me move out.

Joe, are we going to take a chance with our lives? That can be dangerous.

It won’t be, you believe me, and it will be all right!

After he said it, the windows and doors were opening and closing and she said, "I told you.

But you didn’t listen to me.

Yes, I do believe you, and we will be fine.

So they went to the kitchen and then they noticed the chairs were on the table.

Dana said, We don’t have apparitions, but we have poltergeists in this house.

What is the difference?

Poltergeists are a different kind of haunting—the kind that don’t want to leave a place where they lived once. They want to stay. We could have a serious problem here.

But we are staying this is our home, now.

So they entered the bedroom and he was getting ready for bed, and then something made him fall down the floor and she came in and picked him up.

What happened?

I don’t know. One minute I was standing and the next I was on the floor.

Dana looked toward the door and she saw the image of a face.

Dana said, Joe, you must be silent. This presence is standing in front of us. I think that we will be fine tonight, and tomorrow I will called my friends and we can have a séance, then I can asked the spirits what they want from us. But I know that I will not get them angry at us. If that happened we could be in danger.

Dana went toward the bed and Joe came closer to Dana and started to kiss her.

They both got on the bed and under the covers, and Joe said, Will it be fine?

I hope so! But I am not sure.

About a half hour later, Joe fell asleep, and Dana was still not sleeping. Then she heard what sounded like someone speaking in the room, and she looked around and saw there was nobody.

But at first she thought it was Joe and looked over at his head, but he was snoring away.

Dana lay there for a while and then she fell asleep.

The next morning Dana looked around for Joe. At first she thought it was a dream, and then she smelled his cologne and said, Where you are? But nothing!

She looked around and saw a shadowy figure standing next to her, and cold breath made a chill in the air. She felt his presence, but she didn’t know what to say.

She felt very strongly, and she said, I know that you need my help. But first I need to say goodbye. I really want you to stay, but I know it is wrong if you do.

But we must leave now. It is dangerous to stay here.

What do you mean?

We are being followed by ghosts and they want to hurt us.

Are you sure?

Yep! They are watching what we are doing. We must leave now, before it is too late.

But, Dana, we just bought this house and now we are just going to abandon it.

Yes, these spirits are very dangerous and they can even kill us.

I don’t believe you, Dana. You told me that you loved this house. I spent all the money I had and now we have to leave?

Yes! If we don’t leave, we will end up dead.

I don’t believe your vision anymore, so we are staying.

NO!

Dana walked out of the house and he stayed, and she waited for him to come out.

About a half hour later, Dana walked back into the house and called out!

But he would not answered her, so she walked slowly into the kitchen and saw he was standing by the door with a knife in his hand. When she walked inside, he grabbed her and stabbed her twelve times and she lay on the floor. His clothes had blood all over them.

About two hours later, he was gone, and Dana was still on the floor.

The rain came down very heavy and the trees were swaying, and then Dana got up and she looked around, like nothing had happened. Then she looked in the mirror and she started to scream. Now Dana knew that she was trapped in that house.

Joe walked in the house and looked around. Then he went into the kitchen and took the body into the backyard, where he dug a grave.

Then he felt a chill, and then he felt Dana’s presence and said, Why are you doing this to me? I thought that you loved me. And then he ran very quickly out of the house.

He got into his car and drove away, and then he reached the end of the road and he saw Dana. No! NO! NO! You are dead.

Yes, you killed me.

Yes, I did.

Now you must pay for what you’ve done to me!

Joe tried to start the car, but it wouldn’t start and he got out of the car.

Dana pushed him when a car came by, and he got killed.

Now, Dana, we are together again! No, I cannot be dead.

But you are, dear. Look around and see. What do you see?

I don’t see anything but my body on the ground. Now I am standing next to my body. I am having an out-of-body experience. So how are you doing this trick?

I am not doing it. YOU’RE DEAD!

Stop this, Dana. I don’t like your joke.

It is not a joke. It is real. Dana walked away from Joe and said, We must go into the house. They are waiting for us.

NO! NO! NO! I am not going inside that house to be trapped by those ghosts.

Fine! You will wander the woods by yourself.

"No! I will go back and see my family and they will love me.

"But they will not see you. They will feel the chill, and maybe the presence of you. But you will not be able to give them hugs or kisses.

Yes, I will give those hugs and kisses.

"You will scare them.

No, I will not scare my family.

Then Dana walked away and started to reach the end of road and something stopped her, and she called out, Joe, come here in a hurry.

But why? Then Joe came up to the road, and then he couldn’t continue to walk farther.

WHY, DANA?

I don’t know, but we cannot go back home. This is our home now."

But we must leave this place.

About a half hour later, Dana and Joe walked back and they stepped into the house.

We waited for you to come inside.

Joe said, I want to leave.

But you cannot. Because you are DEAD and you are at WILLOW LAKES.

What does that mean?

Well, that you are dead.

Joe sat at the table, and then Dana sat down and said, You see what you have done to us

I have done anything, Dana.

But they have surrounded us. Now we are part of the family.

No I won’t hear of that!

Fine, deny the whole scenario, but we are still dead.

That’s true.

So you took me for a honeymoon and now we will be here forever.

Yes!
