Christine E. Clarke

Christine Clarke has a passion for writing poems, songs and short stories. She states that in her early years her father told her that she would become the pen of a ready writer and indeed she has. Christine poems are very uplifting and she says that her aim through poetry is to glorify, honor, praise, thank and exalt God and to encourage, motivate, bless, inspire others. God has blessed her with this special talent and she is obliged to give back to God for his goodness, mercy and grace through her poetry. Christine's gift for poetry became public when she assisted her daughter, Andrea with a school assignment, the teacher advised Christine to pursue her writing. Through the Ministry of Culture her work was introduced to a Radio program called Piece a Me Mind on the local Radio station ZIZ. Christine read poems daily on this program. In 2005, The International Society of Poets' awarded Christine with a silver bowl trophy and medallion to honor her poetic dedication and achievements for the poem Be Confident. Christine joined 1,800 hundred poets and guests from 50 countries around the world at The 2005 Symposium and Convention in Washington, D.C. She was also inducted as an honorary International poet of Merit for 2005-2006. For Christine; writing is therapeutic and refreshing, it expresses the inner being. She encourages fellow poets to utilize their talents and honor God with their poetry. Have confidence; take a step of faith, continue to try, no matter how hard it seems. With God all things are possible, be assured the best is yet to come. Words are powerful; let us use them to honor and glorify God and to build up others. Christine was the featured poet for World Poetry Day at the Charlestown Public Library in March 2009.

Faith in God Moves Mountains

Faith in God can move every mountain,

Come drink from the ever- flowing fountain.

Take a leap of faith and feel the fresh wind of change blowing,

At the root of Satan’s plan the fire of God is burning.

Faith calls forth things that are not; into being,

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

God is doing wonderful things,

Sudden and immediate things are happening, closed doors are opening.

Faith in God makes dreams come through,

Trust God and you’ll see what he can do.

Faith perseveres in spite of difficulties,

Faith knows with God there are no impossibilities.

Job, a man of great faith got double for all his troubles,

Have faith and see God work great miracles.

Faith will remove doubt, fear and weakness,

Faith brings success and keeps you on the road of progress.

Have faith in God and you’ll never fail,

God promises to make you the head and not the tail.

Faith causes you to have what you say,

Just believe that you receive when you pray.

Faith encourages you to go on,

Faith knows the best is yet to come.

God did it for others; he’ll do it for you too,

Give it a try, and see what faith in God can do.

God promises to do something new,

Now it shall spring forth too,

Be courageous, launch out in faith and receive your breakthrough.

Faith will cause you to be all God created you to be,

You’ll be a person of purpose, excellence, integrity and destiny.

Faith gives you great victory,

It causes you to be blessed abundantly

And enjoy a life of God’s goodness, grace and mercy daily.

Hear of God’s goodness and love to you,

Let him propel your mind to something new.

In spite of the circumstances you are going through,

Have faith, it’s only a process for you.

On the other side, there are blessings in store,

After these fiery trials, there’s a breakthrough for sure.

Joseph’s brothers were overwhelmed with hatred and envy,

They sold him into slavery.

Then Potiphar’s wife tried to trap him into committing adultery,

From her hands, he did flee,

He escaped the plans of the enemy.

Then in prison, he was thrown,

Joseph was falsely accused of a wrong he hadn’t done.

The hand of God was with him,

He trusted God even when things seemed grim.

Joseph didn’t doubt, no matter how hard it seemed,

For the butler and baker, he interpreted dreams.

He was remembered when King Pharaoh had a disturbing dream, years later,

Again God was with Joseph and he was promoted to Governor.

Into the fiery furnace they, threw three Hebrew men,

Unto the golden image, they refused to bend,

They trusted God to be their defense, he is their friend.

Of their great, powerful, holy, true and living God they boldly spoke

And out of the fire they came without even the smell of smoke.

What God did for them, he can do for me and you,

He performs miracles today too.

There’s nothing too big for God to handle,

He promises to fight your battle.

He is the same yesterday, today and forever,

He’ll take you from the dunghill and lift you higher.

You’re above only and not beneath,

No matter what Satan tries, he’s facing defeat,

Use the word and in the name of Jesus, keep the enemy under your feet.

You are a believer and an over comer,

No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Shout praises unto the Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

God has given you victory,

Unto God give thanks, honor and glory.

Be Confident

I have confidence that I can make it,

I am determined to win and I will do it.

Trials will come and chances will too,

So launch out in faith and try something new.

The way may be rugged and steep,

The valleys are dark, lonely, cold and deep.

But press on towards your dream,

Don’t give up, stay on course, no matter how hard it seems.

You have the potential to attain a great height,

Be confident, be strong, be ambitious, be positive and fight;

Have faith in God and trod on with all your might.

There is hope in sight,

At the end of the tunnel, there is a light.

No matter the circumstances, don’t stay down,

Put the past behind, be victorious and wear your crown.

The best is yet to come,

So pick yourself up and move on,

It’s the break of a new dawn.

Take all your problems to the Lord in prayer,

He will remove every doubt, every fear,

In the time of need, sickness and trouble, he’s always near.

He’s the healer, redeemer and comforter,

Jesus is the answer, the burden bearer, the deliverer and problem solver,

When the storms are raging, he’s the shelter, strong tower.

He’s sincere and he’ll never leave you,

And all his promises are true.

Jesus is the Everlasting friend,

He loves, he cares and on him, you can depend,

He will be with you until the very end.

Have Confidence in God, He Is Jehovah- Jireh, He Will Provide.
