This Book is dedicated to the many people who have asked me for revelation and more understanding of God’s Word over the years. It caused me to study more and to try to always be ready to teach God’s Word.

I remember distinctively walking into a ministry never attended before and the Holy Ghost allowed similar spirits to connect and the Pastor asked me to preach that morning. Unaware that would happened wisdom kicked in I looked around the sanctuary and I saw the scripture Acts 2:38. Immediately, the word came to me it’s All in the Name of Jesus. From, that day on I thank God every day for the passion to learn about him and his Word.

I would like to thank God for the many spiritual men and women he sent to prepare me for a great work, especially the early Bishop James Jones. He’s entitled the early because he has gone on to see the Lord before us.

There was an SSgt Rogers in Kuwait 2010 who really set this book in motion with his encouraging words and curiosity to know more about God during a deployed setting. Everyone was under pressure, stressed, and everyone had their own ideas about a god. Many people were in doubt and wanted to know about truth and who could they trust and believe in. I was able to teach about God in what started out as bible studies. It ultimately turned into this finished product you are reading now. To God be the Glory.

Lastly, I would like to thank my family, Wife Tynomie, Sons: Akareyon and Lemuel, Daughters: Sade’ and Sarah for patience, obedience and putting up with me as I transition into what God has for our lives. Introduction

Bible Study 101

These series of Bible study lessons initially came from military personnel, wanting to know more about the Bible and why there are so many different beliefs and other Bible trivia. It was a great honor to have been asked to write commentary studies and have them put into a format which allows all walks of life to read and better understand God’s word. I pray that all are blessed by the revealed truths embedded within this powerful book. The book was written while deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom. The Bible says, but if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (See 2 Corinthians 4:3). It is certainly not my wish to have people ignorant of God’s word, but it is a passionate desire of mine that they be not deceived by false teachers. In all my Bible studies at True Holiness Temple, God has revealed some awesome truths through my study in his word. It’s not only through me he has revealed secrets, but the word says whosoever desires to know these things, and I certainly do desire to know them, he will give understanding and light to his word. Here are some Bible scriptures that support my statements:

The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law (Deuteronomy 29:29).

He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him (Daniel 2:22).

But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these (Daniel 2:28).

Let’s be honest, if God can reveal his revelation through a wicked King, I know certainly he will reveal to them that are called by him, them that believe in the name, and them that ask him in His Name:

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him (Luke 11:13)?

I guess by now, you have noticed that everything I may say is not all from me. It has been revealed through God’s word. What better way of teaching is there? What better way to show where scriptures are written, other than God’s majestic word, And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Luke 4). Jesus said, For it is written, meaning, he knew the scriptures and as the devil challenged and tempted him he immediately let him know. The word of God says this, and not what Satan portrays. I know, for I have read it and learned for myself. We as followers of Christ today, must know what the word says before we teach, preach, or minister to the people. We are powerless if we cannot actively walk the word out and apply it to our daily lives.
