About this ebook

How do you respond to the challenges of life? How do you obtain blessings from the Lord when the evidence before you seems so bleak? Is it possible to wrestle a miracle out of God's hand? This book offers some biblical insights on prevailing with God through prayer, repentence, worship, and faith. Although we cannot change the nature of God, there is biblical evidence that we can at times change the decisions He makes concerning situations in our lives.

This book will challenge you to dig deeper and climb higher in your walk with God. "Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him" (Joel 2:14a, KJV)?

    Prevailing with God

    INTRODUCTION

Perhaps the mere title of this book has raised questions in your mind. Change God’s mind? How could this possibly be valid? The Scripture clearly states, For I am the Lord, I change not (Malachi 3:6). Your questions are absolutely reasonable.

God’s character or nature does not change, that is, who He is. The qualities that make Him the true and living God are steadfast. He is a just, loving, righteous, holy God. He is a provider, comforter, healer and deliverer. All of that (and much more) is the infallible truth.

However, this book requires your prayerful consideration. The scriptural accounts referenced in this book clearly show that while God’s character did not change, His decision concerning particular sets of circumstances did. These passages of God’s holy Word prove that we have great power with God, if we would only use it.

This then is the message: We can prevail with God-through prayer, repentance and worship-until answered prayer becomes reality. Yes, we can prevail with God until He changes His mind about our situations. Yes, we can prevail with God until He moves on

    our behalf.

I pray that your knowledge and understanding of your relationship with God will deepen. May you honestly assess it for what it is and then accept the challenge to pursue an even greater walk with God. Be assured that God has more. Where you are (spiritually) is not all there is. There’s more, much more. What God has for you is worth the struggling. Your healing is worth the wrestling. Your deliverance is worth the prevailing. Don’t give up!

    IT’S WORTH IT ALL

Before we even begin to explore this hidden treasure of prevailing with God, you need to ask yourself these questions: Is it worth it? Is what I want from the Lord worth the prevailing? Is the healing I so desperately need worth the struggling? Is the breakthrough I desire worth the wrestling? Am I willing to do spiritual warfare to get my children off the streets and in the church? Is it really worth it?

If I may be so bold as to say that if you’re not willing to prevail for your blessing, then perhaps this is the wrong book for you. This book will challenge you by the power of the Holy Ghost to earnestly contend for the deliverance you need.

There is a question that we ask quite frequently in our church: How bad do you want it? In other words, how far are you willing to go for your blessing?

Assess the value of your miracle. How much
