Karley and Kelsey may be sisters, but their personalities are polar opposites! Karley the younger sister is a drama queen in school as well as home and can never sit still for a minute. Her older sister {Karley was 10 and her sister Kelsey was 12} is calm, cool and almost always collected. The preteen girls bicker as sisters do, but they are about to need each other more than ever.

Their fathers company shuts down and he soon finds another job in another stateTennessee. This means the entire family has to uproot their lives in Michigan and move miles away from the only home they have ever known. Karley and Kelsey are devastated by the news, but they have no choice. They reluctantly accept the news and begin packing.

The first day in a new school is a disaster for both girlsbut Karley has a harder time adjusting. No familiar friends, no family {the grandparents, cousins, etc were very close}, and she soon begins to fall into signs of depression while Kelsey seems to adjust much more quickly.

But then things seem to happena lost puppy, tryouts for the soccer team, and a mystery! Though it is the new friendship of Willie, a deaf boy from school, that makes Karley realize just how blessed her life is. Will Tennessee ever truly become her home?

I am a retired RN and teacher. Taught nursing inservice and certified Nurse aides as well as spoke in front of groups on health issues. Specialties were Gerontology and Wound Care. I worked as wound care nurse and did rural home care till my retirement. I raised two children as a single parent till meeting my present husband of 27 years. When I met him I became very close to his two young daughters and think of them as my own. My greatest joy are my four grandchildren ranging in age from one year to six. I love reading and dreamed of publishing my own stories that my children grew up hearing and now my grandchildren seem to love as well. My six year old grandson asks for Chester chipmunk {A series of short stories called RIVER ROW TALES about young, small back yard animals} stories before bed.
