About this ebook

If Fifty is the new Thirty, then Nina Sullivan is today's pin-up girl. Blessed with good genes, she's keeping the crow's feet and laugh lines at bay, maximizing her youthful appearance. But, factor in her lackluster sex life and she's pushing a hundred.

In the early years of their marriage, Nina and Sully consumed each other with raw, carnal passion. And then one by one, year by year, their children snuffed out the burning flames.

Now that the kids have flown the nest, Nina is ready to douse the simmering embers of her marriage with her naughty fantasies and a little kink.

Lainie Suzanne

Lainie Suzanne was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She currently lives in North Carolina with her husband. She loves reading Romance, but often found herself unable to relate to the characters. She wanted to read about a heroine she could relate to and thought other women would, too. The heroine in her Nexus Series, Katherine, is in her mid-forties, divorced, curvaceous, insecure, sassy, and feels self-conscious about her body. Things many women can relate to. She likes to say she writes Realistic Erotic Romance. Lainie's always had a love affair with vampires, so she decided to merge eroticism and vampirism and The Blood Moon Series was born. "I never thought of myself as a writer, and honestly I still don’t. I have stories and characters in my head that I want to know more about and see what kind of wicked kinkery they can get into along the way. My characters mean a lot to me; they’re part of me."

    XXXOOO

    Welcome to Juniper Court.

In the summer of 2017, Isabelle Peterson came up with the wild idea to have a series of books that take place on one street, with each house having its own unique story. The occupants of the houses would interact, giving readers a glimpse into the neighbors' lives, but each book would offer up its own standalone romance as well. Although Isabelle could have written each of the books herself, where would the fun be in that? What better way to showcase the uniqueness and flavor of each house in the neighborhood than to have a different author craft each story?

Isabelle began digging through her connections in the indie author community, considering the strengths and specialty of each romance author she knew. She was fortunate to have indie author friends who write in different sub-genres along the romance spectrum, including Seasoned Romance, Ménage, Romantic Comedy, Gay Romance, and BDSM. She invited authors to participate who would bring richness to the project and make Juniper Court the dynamic and exciting world she envisioned.

After Isabelle assembled the Juniper Court team, the seven authors came together, each in charge of her own home on the quiet suburban cul-de-sac where everyone seems to have secrets. Through countless emails, shared Google documents, chat sessions, and phone calls, these ladies collaborated to create their stories, each woven along the same timeline in the same world. Readers will find neighborly interactions in one book, and in another they'll see the same interaction from a different perspective. The authors are confident readers will grow to love all the neighbors of Juniper Court, just as the authors have throughout the past several months.

    Chapter 1

Wrapping my hands around the warm mug, the spicy nut aroma swirls into delicate tendrils, rising up to tickle my nose. I love the smell of coffee far more than I love the taste. But I need the kickstart to my day, so I tolerate the pungent taste.

After his morning stroll around the property to take care of business, Max takes his usual place in the center of the front lawn. Majestic and proud like a king on his throne, daring someone to cross his path. He's not aggressive, but to a stranger, Max is intimidating as any German Shepherd could be. I keep a watchful eye from the glider on the front porch, savoring my morning brew.

The cul-de-sac is coming to life on this Monday morning. I throw my hand up to Jenna and her kids as they head off to school. Jayne, my other next-door neighbor and best friend, is sending her husband off to work.

The dark sunglasses hide my lingering gaze on the couple’s intimate moment. Phillip and Jayne are discreet with their public displays of affection, but I've known them for 25 years and I pick up on their subtle exchanges. If I’m honest, I envy the soft kiss and gentle caress shared between the two.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Max sniffing his way toward the porch. His distraction pulls my attention away from Jayne and Phillip. Sitting my mug on the table, I meet Max at the bottom of the steps. He follows me along the sidewalk to the edge of the driveway where my foliage baby resides - Orange Bird of Paradise.

I planted my Orange Bird of Paradise five years ago. Since then, I’ve doted on and nurtured this plant, trying to coax it to bloom. Last week, I noticed what I thought to be a bud. I force myself to check it for growth only once a day and not every few of hours.

I cross my fingers, close my eyes, and send up a little prayer before taking a look. A hushed giggle interrupts my train of thought. Looking in the direction of the tittering laughter, I’m half mooned by Valley Archer from across the cul-de-sac. Her slinky robe lifts, baring her ass, when her husband cups a handful, lifting her to his waist.

If I had a modicum of decorum, I would look away from the spectacle on display in the Archer’s driveway, but I don’t. I can't. I’m taking in a live production of The Valley Archer Show.

    I don’t know why
