I Homecoming

Those mother fuckers!  Those inbred, hillbilly pieces of shit!  How DARE they do this...sending me Sally Jo’s necklace and her books!  This shit isn’t going to stop!  They’re going to make me do something a whole lot faster than I wanted to! Alejandro thought.

Alejandro looks at the note in his hand.  The misshapen, child-like handwriting stares back at Alejandro as he looks towards the bathroom.  He grinds his teeth as he reads the note.  His heart races as the words from the note echo in his mind.

I can’t let Lisa see this!  I can’t let her know that these assholes found me!  They know where I live!  She’s already scared and this will just confirm her fears!  I can’t have...

Honey!  Is everything OK?  What’s taking you so long?  I thought that you were going to join me in the shower!  Get in here before the water gets cold! Lisa shouts.

Alejandro quickly gathers the note, necklace and books.  He shoves them into the box that was used to ship them, trying not to make a sound.  As Alejandro shoves the items into the box, Lisa’s voice can be heard from the shower.  She sings as the water washes away the soap from her body.

I’ll be there soon honey!  I just...I was looking at some of the mail and was distracted.  Save some hot water for me honey Alejandro says.

Well get in here already!  The longer you wait, the colder it’s going to get!  You know that I hate when the water gets cold!  Hurry up! Lisa shouts.

Alejandro kneels down, grimacing in pain.  He places the box on to the shelf that is below the surface of the table and exhales.  A sharp pain stabs at his side as Alejandro slowly stands upright.

Fuck!  That hurt!  It’s going to take some time for me to heal from everything that happened.  As much as I want to get back at those fuckers, I have to heal and plan.  I almost died fighting those mother fuckers, so I have to be careful.  If Officer Colón wasn’t there on that road, I wouldn’t be here now!  I’d be dead! Alejandro thought.

Come on honey!  Hurry up!  I’ve been waiting for you!  I want you in here with me NOW! Lisa shouts.

A wide grin appears on Alejandro’s face.  Alejandro looks at the box, ensuring that none of its contents can be seen.  He gingerly walks towards the bathroom, ignoring the stabbing, throbbing pain in his left leg and side of his body.

Damn!  This really hurts!  I haven’t felt pain like this in a long time!  Shit!  I really don’t want to take those pain killers!  I’ve heard of people becoming addicted to those things, but now I’m going to have to take them.  This pain is too much to deal with! Alejandro thought. 

The sound of the water from the showerhead echoes throughout the bathroom.  Alejandro stands in the doorway, admiring the outline of Lisa’s body.  He studies Lisa as she rubs soap on to her body, turning in several angles and bending down.  His grin turns into a smile when Lisa caresses her breasts as the water cascades on her body.

Damn!  Lisa is so beautiful!  I know the doctor said that I shouldn’t do anything rigorous for at least a week, but I can’t resist!  Lisa wants me and I want her! Alejandro thought.

Alejandro starts to remove his clothes.  He unbuckles his belt and starts to lower his jeans.  A dull pain radiates down his leg as the denim from the jeans slides down his leg.  The large bandage wrapped with medical tape is exposed as it covers most of Alejandro’s left thigh.

As the jeans slide down his legs, Alejandro winces in pain. Part of the bandage sticks on the denim, almost pulling it off of Alejandro’s thigh.  Alejandro quickly places his hand on to the bandage, holding it in place.  The remainder of his jean leg slides off, landing by Alejandro’s feet.

Get in here honey!  The water is starting to turn cold! Lisa shouts.

Alejandro steps towards the shower and stops.  He looks at the silhouette of Lisa’s body and exhales.  Lisa pulls back the shower curtain, leaning her head towards Alejandro.  The pained expression on Alejandro’s face saddens Lisa.  She blows a kiss towards Alejandro before she speaks.

Honey, what’s wrong?  Why aren’t you joining me?  Are you in pain?  Is your leg bothering you? Lisa asks.

Alejandro looks at Lisa and smiles.  He moves closer to the shower and kisses Lisa on the lips.  Lisa pulls back the shower curtain, allowing her to place her hands on to Alejandro’s head.  They kiss passionately as the water from the showerhead starts to spray on to Alejandro’s leg and the bathroom floor.

I don’t care what the doctor says, I’m getting laid tonight!  Oh shit!  The water’s going everywhere! Alejandro thought.

Alejandro stops kissing Lisa.  He steps away from the shower as a pool of water begins to form on the bathroom floor.  Lisa is annoyed when Alejandro steps away from her and reaches for the shower curtain.

Sorry honey!  The water’s going everywhere! Alejandro says.

Get in here! Lisa shouts.

Lisa grabs Alejandro by the arm.  She places her hand on to Alejandro’s shoulder, pulling him towards the shower.  He closes the shower curtain as Lisa kisses him on the lips.  Alejandro leans against the shower wall as he holds Lisa close to his body, caressing her.  They kiss passionately as the water gradually turns cold.  Lisa stops kissing Alejandro as she jumps out of the path of the water.

Brrr!  That’s cold!  See honey, I told you!  Now you can’t take your shower and we can’t play! Lisa says.

Lisa leans towards the shower handles.  She turns off the water, angrily staring at Alejandro.  Alejandro remains silent as Lisa opens the shower curtain, grabs her towel and quickly leaves the bathroom.

Dammit!  Now Lisa’s pissed at me!  I’m going to have to calm her down while I have THIS shit on my mind!  How the hell can I think about Lisa?  How can I focus on her after seeing that note?  I thought that killing those assholes would end this nightmare, but they won’t stop!  I can’t allow this to continue! Alejandro thought.

Alejandro steps out of the shower.  He reaches for a towel and sees Lisa sitting at the edge of the bed.  Lisa’s towel is wrapped around her body as water drips down her long, silky her.  She turns her head, looking at Alejandro as he approaches her.

"What’s going on with you?  I wanted to be with you!  Are you OK?  Is something wrong? Lisa asks.

Alejandro pauses before answering Lisa’s questions.  He looks at Lisa, avoiding direct eye contact, contemplating how to answer her questions.

Do I tell Lisa the truth?  Do I tell her about the package, the note and Sally Jo?  Oh shit!  Sally Jo!  Oh man!  How will Lisa react to THAT?  What do I do here?   If I’m completely honest with Lisa and tell her the truth, I’m screwed.  If I don’t tell Lisa the truth and she finds out that I fucked Sally Jo so I could escape, I’m screwed.  Either way, I lose!  I admit, I enjoyed fucking Sally Jo, but it was either that or be killed!  Sally Jo saved my life!  She sacrificed herself to save me!  Lie or be honest...either way I LOSE! Alejandro thought.

Lisa patiently waits for Alejandro to answer.  She beckons Alejandro to sit next to her and he complies.  Alejandro leans towards Lisa as she places her arm around his back as she speaks.

Honey, I know you went through a lot.  I’m sorry that I got angry at you.  I guess you’re still thinking about everything that happened and what you’re going to do now.  I can only imagine what’s going on in your head now.  If you want me to wait until you’re ready, I can do that.  I just want you to know that I love you and I’m here for you.  I love you honey Lisa says.

A single tear escapes from Alejandro’s left eye.  He smiles as Lisa rubs his right arm, holding him close to her body.  Lisa feels Alejandro’s tear touch her skin and leans her head towards Alejandro.  She kisses Alejandro on the lips as he places his hand on to her thigh.  Alejandro begins to stroke Lisa’s thigh, slowly placing it under her towel.

Alejandro and Lisa stop kissing.  He looks into Lisa’s eyes and smiles.  Lisa also smiles as Alejandro gently touches her face.  He leans forward as Lisa leans back on to the bed.  Lisa unwraps the towel from her body, exposing her firm breasts and toned body.

I love you too hun.  Thank you for understanding, most people wouldn’t Alejandro says.

Lisa smiles.  She places her hands on to Alejandro’s face, looking into his eyes as she speaks.

Honey, you mean so much to me.  I’m so happy that you’re back here with me.  I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.  I don’t want anything bad to happen to us.  As long as we’re here for each other, we’ll be OK.  You’re back and that’s all that matters to me Lisa says.

Alejandro smiles.  He kisses Lisa on the lips as he strokes her hair.  Lisa bites Alejandro’s lower lip as their tongues touch.  She spreads her legs apart, angling her body under Alejandro’s body.

Lisa arches her body so Alejandro can adjust his body.  She closes her eyes as Alejandro kisses her neck.  When Alejandro’s lips touch Lisa’s skin, she is instantly aroused.  He continues to kiss and lick her body as Lisa lies on the bed.  Alejandro kisses and licks Lisa’s thighs, slowly moving towards her vagina.

What the fuck?  No!  Not now!  What fucked up timing! Alejandro thought.

Alejandro places his tongue back in his mouth.  He quickly sits up as Lisa exhales.  She places her hand on to Alejandro’s face, blowing a kiss at him.

I swear, it’s like someone KNOWS what we’re doing and wants us to stop! Alejandro says.

Honey, calm down.  Just answer it and tell whomever it is to come back later.  I’m not going anywhere.  I’ll be right here waiting for you Lisa says.

Alejandro smiles.  He carefully slides off of the bed, mindful of how he applies weight on his left leg.  Lisa looks at Alejandro as he walks towards the living room and notices that there is blood trickling down his left leg.

Honey!  Look at your bandage!  You’re bleeding she shouts.

Alejandro stops walking.  He looks at the bandage on his leg and groans loudly.  A circle of blood stains the bandage, angering him.  Alejandro’s teeth grind in anger as he stares at the rapidly growing circle of blood on the bandage.

Fuck!  I KNEW this was going to happen!  Hopefully I didn’t tear open my wound too much!  I’ll check this after I find out who’s here Alejandro thought.

Alejandro returns his attention to the intercom.  He presses the Speak button as he leans towards the microphone.  Blood continues to stain the bandage as Alejandro speaks into the microphone.

Who is it? Alejandro angrily asks. 

Mr. Morales, I have two detectives from the NYPD here to see you.  They say that they have something important to tell you the doorman says.

Alejandro groans.  He shakes his head and sighs before pressing the Speak button on the intercom.

Let me speak to them Alejandro says.

Certainly Mr. Morales the doorman says.

A brief moment of silence passes.  As Alejandro waits for one of the detectives to speak, he leans against the wall, placing most of his weight on his right leg.  He takes a quick look at the bandage on his left leg and smiles when he sees that the bleeding has stopped.

Good!  The bleeding has finally stopped!  Hopefully this was a small tear and all I’ll have to do is place a new bandage on the wound.  I don’t want to go back to the doctor anytime soon Alejandro thought.

Mr. Morales, this is Detective Henderson.  I am here with my partner, Detective Salazar.  We need to speak to you about something that happened after you left Tennessee.  Can we come up to see you? Detective Henderson asks.

Can this wait Detective?  I just got back home and I’m really tired.  I’m trying to get some rest Alejandro says.

Mr. Morales, this can’t wait.  We really need to talk to you.  It’s important Detective Salazar says.

Alejandro sighs.  He looks at Lisa as she places a bathrobe around her body.  She ties a knot in the belt as she speaks to him.

Go ahead honey, let them up.  We can continue where we left off after they leave and have some fun Lisa says.

Alejandro nods his head.  He exhales, then presses the Speak button on the intercom.  Lisa stretches her arms and yawns as Alejandro stares at her.  A smile appears on Alejandro’s face as Lisa’s left breast is exposed.  She quickly covers her left breast and chuckles.

OK, come on up Alejandro says.

Alejandro steps away from the intercom.  He walks towards Lisa as she reaches into the closet.  She takes out a bathrobe and holds it in front of Alejandro.  He takes the bathrobe, quickly wrapping his body with it.  A frown appears on Alejandro’s face as he looks at Lisa’s body.

Thanks for understanding honey.  I’m hoping that these guys don’t have any more bad news for us.  I just want to be alone with you.  I want you.  I wish I could deal with all of this bullshit later Alejandro says.

Lisa moves closer to Alejandro.  She leans her head against his chest as he holds her close to his body.  He kisses Lisa on the lips, trying to control his anger.

This shit isn’t going to stop!  First the package, now the cops!  I know my mother and father are OK, I spoke to them earlier today.  I know Tony’s OK too.  I already know about the threat from the note, so what else is going on?  Are these guys going to start stalking me?  Are they going to try to kill everyone around me until they get me?  I can’t deal with this shit! Alejandro thought.

Honey, I know this is a lot to deal with.  I’m here for you.  This is our problem and we’ll deal with it.  All you have to do is tell me what you want or need and I’ll do it Lisa says.

Thank you honey.  That means so much to me.  I’m so lucky that you’re here with me.  You’ve been so supportive, words can’t express how grateful I am.  Ironic isn’t it?  The writer is at a loss for words! Alejandro says.

Detectives Henderson and Salazar enter the elevator that leads to Alejandro’s apartment.  The elevator door closes as Detective Henderson presses the button labelled PH.  He steps back and looks at Detective Salazar.

What do you think a place like this costs?  It’s gotta cost at least a cool million to buy a one bedroom apartment, especially in this part of Manhattan Detective Salazar says.

I’d say this place probably cost him two and a half million.  The penthouse has the private elevator and is usually the largest apartment in the building.  It could either have tall ceilings or is a duplex.  Either way, this place must have set this guy back a LOT of money Detective Henderson says.

I hear ya partner.  From what I know about this guy, he’s doing really well.  All of his books are best-sellers and that movie...Cougar made a shitload of money.  I heard that his other books are going to be on that streaming movie site too, so this guy must be swimming in money Detective
