This book is dedicated to my family and friends too numerous to mention including those that have passed amongst them especially my late father, Comrade Hassan Taiwo Kolawole Olatunji.
1: What is Blogging?
Ablog is a website that provides information about an individual, organization, group or interest in a relatively informal and conversational tone. The website is regularly updated and the posts usually appear in chronological order and it allows readers to post comments in reaction to posts.
The word ‘blog’ is the truncation of the term ‘weblog’ and in the simplest of forms; a blog may be regarded as an online journal shared with the public.
In the simplest of terms blogging means to own, maintain or run a blog. It encompasses all the activities related to starting a blog, maintaining and promoting it. It can only be done on the Internet and this distinguishes it from similar activities like column-writing for newspapers, which can be done both online and offline, keeping a diary or journal which can also be done online or offline.
Blogging may be done fulltime or part-time and there is no time restriction regarding when you can do it. You just need a device that can access the Internet and a functional connection that allows you to browse the web to start.
