About this ebook
Wendy Louise Huggins considers herself a thinking Christian who admires the Bibical truths and ideas the Bible provides. Poetry, she says, is like the found glove that fits her hand. She recognizes that God gave her a gift to write and, to God in Christ, she is most grateful.

Two Trails of a Rainbow - Wendy Louise Huggins
Dedication
This book is dedicated to the people of the world, over all time, who have fought for freedom.
Wendy wishes to thank her mother, Pauline, who influenced her to have a strong sense of self and her step-mother, Diana, who taught her what is of God and Spirit; her life-long friend, Shallan, for her great mental support and health; her martial arts teacher, John, who taught her the quality of art; her Developmental Service Worker
diploma that taught her life experience; and last, but not least, her kindred spirit
friend, Frank, who gave her inspiration.
Discovery
To think
Here I am just sitting here
writing with my pen
thoughts from words just coming in
like a welcomed friend
looking at the letters forming words
by blue pen ink
sending messages to my brain
to get the thing to think
smelling, thinking, blinking,
sinking down in my chair
to find the unknown thought
to think
in the hole up there
Wildflowers
A stagecoach to finding self
a journey's heart to meet a mind
along the way
we see beautiful purposes
we see wildflowers
we see designs of sort
respecting life
Saturated cores
and lost keys at the door
while I rethink
in thoughts born of deep staircases
to lift these brilliant surgical lines
this pearl of moon - forgotten
picks up - searching out
these hooves sojourn
leaving stories in the broken grass
Nature sonnets
Soft land
with a hard mask
sitting among crawling things
the light sipping on the air
the green tugging
smoke from the campfire
enveloping a kiss
Breathing deep
laughing inwardly
the quiet outside sustains
my next thought
with open eyes
blinking even shameful
My hands are full
of nature’s sonnets
birds for conductors
flying upwards with my soul
making me feel warm
trying to hold on to nothing
Autumn
I remember you
Autumn song
with trailing’s of your leaves
In soggy mud
thick air like glass
I part
