    ––––––––

The convention center was packed. It was a photographer’s wet dream with more gadgets and gizmos than the eye could take in. Whether you wanted to take a picture of Saturn’s rings, an individual snowflake, or anything in between, you could find what you needed at the expo. Vendors lined rows upon rows of booths and displays, peddling their wares. Workshops on all things photography were offered in the dozens of meeting rooms around the convention center. The wall of muscle and gear seemed to come out of nowhere. She saw him a split second before she walked right into his back, pushing him off balance. He grunted and let out a few choice curses as he juggled the load he was carrying.

Oh! Sorry. God, I am so sorry, Kat stammered as her hands shot out to steady him. Her hand slid over a rock solid back and arm as she quickly stepped around him to help balance a large box. Her hands rested on his as they got control of his unwieldy burden. I am so sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going. Obviously. Are you alright? Can I do anything to help, she babbled, processing the heat of his skin under her touch. Over the top of the box, a pair of dark eyes regarded her with irritation. To her relief, they softened quickly.

Colin looked down at the woman who had just about cost him a fortune. The gear in the box wasn’t packed well. Dropping it would have been disastrous even
