About the Author
1. How to Read this Book
The purpose of this book is to help you create your own job. What has to be done is to act, that is my proposal. Read and do. It is a book to take action.
In each chapter you can check the website links that appear at the end of the book.
If you want to accomplish it, read slowly, keep all of what is useful to you; the rest, let it go. Read and ask yourself questions, take action.
Reread the chapter again. Each day a little, one step more.
Write the steps down in your notebook. Carry a small notepad with you in which you have your week's goal written down, and also record what you do. During the weekend review what you have written down. What could you have done better? What has gone very well?
Make it a custom of yours.
2. INTRODUCTION
If there is no way to find employment, and you have already delivered many curriculums, maybe during a long time, months . . .
If few jobs are offered for which many people present themselves.
If other times it is about work positions without contract and with miserable salaries, without previsions nor social securities.
How many possibilities of finding work do you have in the next week? And in the next month?
If everything has been set against, if finding a job has become an impossible mission, the last strategy, the most powerful and intelligent tactic will be to generate your own employment.
Maybe you had not thought about this possibility before, but the need to earn money is what matters most.
Why wait more time . . . ? If the possibility to find a paid occupation is very difficult and you can create your own employment or a job together with other people.
What for? To live as you wish, doing something you like, that you find pleasing, making the money that you need.
In many places it is not possible to expect help from the governments and sometimes not even from welfare.
You may find yourself in a fortunate situation that will allow you to work on something pleasant, besides providing you benefits, in which case will not offer you more doubts than to be able to help others. However, if you work with a minute salary in conditions that you do not like, you should probably ask yourself if to continue so or create your own employment. Moreover, there is a third case for which the decision does not offer hesitation whatsoever: if you do not find employment, you only have left risking to create your own source of income.
Do you foresee an uncertain future? The best way to avoid an unflattering scenario is to get ahead creating it yourself.
A question very, very simple and very, very powerful; get a piece of paper and a pencil and answer in thirty seconds the first thing that occurs to you:
Doing what . . . does your time go by so quickly?
How can you make money doing what you like?
In the twentieth century, the question that was heard was, do you study or work? Later on, until very recently, you could study and work. In the mornings you went to class and in the afternoons, to work, or, you worked
