Where is Nancy? - DANI MART

    ––––––––

    Where is Nancy?

Emotion cannot override reason in an investigation.

Celebration, Orlando, FL: A quiet place until Nancy Masterson disappear, near Clear Lake Park. Detective Hannah Morgan, her neighbor and friend of her father, Joshua Masterson, starts the searches immediately, but the few clues can confuse even the experienced - and complicated - partner Jeff Coulton. Anyone is suspicious and the puzzle to be assembled.

A girl in a mysterious jail. The race is against time.

Everyone has a secret, but Det. Morgan is not blind.

I need to talk with you, Hannah Morgan.

It is a quiet neighborhood, peaceful. Never happened anything in Celebration that caught the attention of the police, especially of our unit... That's why I loved having inherited Nanna's house... The mind of the investigator Hannah Morgan was boiling, as she held the sweaty hand of Joshua Masterson, father of little Nancy. He had appeared in the police department, nervous and agitated, repeating Detective Morgan's name for every cop that passed by him.

It was not surprising, the two lived on the same street, were neighbors since Hannah moved to Orlando, accepting the inheritance of the maternal grandmother and the vacancy in the Homicide Division. From the beginning, the promising investigator was lively with the Victorian house, two floors high, in a tree-lined and happy street. However, she was discouraged by being part of a unit that had an average low rate of cases to investigate. Good neighborhood, total peace.

Joshua sat in the chair in front of Hanna's desk, taken up there by Jeff Coulton, your partner. He was sweaty, gasping for breath, the impression is that he came running, the hair misaligned. The clock read 7PM, nearing the end of the turn, and the investigator's only thought was to go home and make a big bowl of popcorn to watch the last game of the Dolphins, recorded on Saturday. As soon as she saw Josh and all that nervousness, she realized that she would add another day fighting "spoilers" about the game of the century.

Jeff remained standing, just behind Josh, his arms crossed and the disgruntled countenance, as he was left behind. That is, until that moment Joshua Masterson had only said five words: Need talk with Hannah Morgan. When she sat, he added the "you", looking at her with a look of pleading and full of fear. A fear that shivered her nape and made her automatically think of Patrick.

But the neighbor was not there to talk about his son. It was about Nancy. She had left home in the morning to go to school. After class, she was supposed to go straight to the ballet and, later, back home. She should have been back at 4PM, but that did not happened. Nancy went missing. The girl studied at Memorial Middle School, and passed by the Clear Lake Park, just like most of the children in the neighborhood. The ballet school was in 29th St., close by, which diminished greatly the search radius.

Josh, do you want a glass of water? Hannah said, moved by the concern of a father. A friend with whom often took turns to the carpool to the school games.

The man responded affirmatively with his head, the body trembling. Hannah looked at Jeff, who snorted and shrugged her shoulders, heading to the water fountain next to the interrogation room and returned quickly with a full glass and a napkin, placing it in front of Josh, who held him like a lifeline.

She's never late and never stay after school talking. Susie said that she has not appeared on the ballet... Josh took his head in his hands, nervous. And her phone is off.

Don't worry, Josh. Hannah tried to comfort him while calculating in his mind the hours. Nancy had been missing for over 10 hours. It was a large window.

Jeff Coulton pulled out another napkin from the pocket of his jacket and picked up the empty glass under the watchful and depreciating eyes of Hannah. In his heart, she was sure that Joshua Masterson had nothing to do with the disappearance of her daughter, but she could not make this claim, since it had not even risen from her chair since the time his friend appeared in front of her, in that state. It was instinct talking, screaming inside of her.

Okay, Josh, calm down. Describe for me your last moments with Nancy. Hannah asked, grasping his hands, encouraging him to speak. Jeff nodded negatively, moving away from the scene.

He started to speak. I woke up at 6AM, as always. Put out the trash, gave food to Ronron, the siamese, and prepared his daughter's breakfast: cereal with milk and strawberries. Also, prepared the strawberry jam and peanut butter sandwich, placing it in a paper bag, along with a box of orange juice and
