Enduring the Process to Fulfill Your Destiny: The Life of Joseph
Introduction
As I survey the books in the bible, my heart is drawn to one person whose name is Joseph. Joseph was the eleventh son of Jacob, and the first son or Rachael. In my opinion, the life of Joseph is a microcosm of the believers’ life in general. Joseph had to endure a series of uncomfortable situations for him to fulfill his destiny. Each circumstance that he encountered pushed him closer to his purpose. What did he endure you may ask? He endured a persistent plot. When I think about a persistent plot, it’s as though our enemies are coming up against us like a flood or waves of the sea forming out of their mouth full of rage, as they continually beat against the sea shore. Just think about this for a moment, have you ever experienced a time in your life when you felt as though there was only one season in the entire year and that season was a stormy one. The story of Joseph reassures us of this one thing: that the favor and the hand of God will follow you throughout the process of your life. Joseph endures the persistent plot, the painful pit, and the poison in Potiphar’s house and the procrastination in the prison. Because he endured those things God gave him a providential promotion which means that it didn’t come from his family, friends or foes, it came from God. That providential promotion was predicated on his ability to practice a peaceful pardon; because Joseph was disciplined enough with this peaceful pardon our great God preserved his posterity. We as believers’ must remember these two things: First, what Satan meant for evil God can reverse for our good. Secondly, the process is designed to make you better not bitter. You must look at your enemies and remind yourself, I never would have made it and never could have made it without you. Because of the pain and the pressure of the process I’m stronger, wiser and better. Now I am prepared to walk into my destiny.
Genesis 37:3. Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors.
4. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
5. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren: and they hated him yet the more (Joseph being seventeen years old).
Genesis 50:19-21; And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as [it is] this day, to save much people alive.
21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
Enduring: to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding, though it is difficult, we must endure. Process: a series of actions that produce something or that lead to a result: a series of changes that happen naturally and medically: something that sticks out of something else. Destiny: a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power or agency of God.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1st Timothy 6:12)
I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.( 2nd Timothy 4:7-8)
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. (Hebrews 12:1)
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (Hebrews 12:3)

Chapter 1: The Beginning of The Process (History)
And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also. And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, for she died that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin. And Rachel died, and was buried in
