Every human being that has ever lived, who is living today, or who at some future time will live on planet earth, shares a common destiny or fate as they travel through life. Everyone has a time when they were born into this world, a time of living their life, and a time in which he or she will physically die and leave this world. This is true, regardless of who you are, where you live in the world, or how you carry out your existence during your earthly journey. All of us at some point have asked the questions, who am I? Where did I come from? What am I supposed to be doing right now? And where am I going to? Some people spend lots of time trying to answer these questions. Dr. Gary Michael Epping Ph.D. received Bachelor and Graduate degrees in Business Administration, and was a University Professor for twenty-five years. After a radical spiritual transformation in the Brownsville Revival in the mid-1990’s, he has subsequently received both Bachelor and Graduate degrees in Biblical Studies and Theology. After ministering for eight years as missionaries in Thailand, the Eppings are now living on a ranch in Montana, where MIchael is a minister, rancher, and writer.

FOREWORD

This book is the result of my family’s tenure as missionaries in Thailand. The most important part of our work was taking the Gospel message to those that didn’t know Jesus. It became abundantly clear that, in many cases, those who didn’t know much about Jesus many times needed written information to supplement the oral message. That is the reason for the publication of this booklet in English. It was first published in the Thai language, but we now feel that it could be a useful tool for those in America who also want to know more about Jesus. After getting to know Him, this book can literally change your life.

Is Life An Accident Or Is There A Real God?

If life came out of nothing, the universe must truly be based on chaos and a lack of order. If it occurred as some kind of freak accident, then why, when you look around you and into the heavens, do you see an ordering of things that could only have been designed from the intellect and conscious intention of a preexisting eternal being. It doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to figure out that something can not evolve out of nothing. Even the theories of evolution and adaptation are based on something developing from something else that existed earlier. In other words, life as we have it today came from something that existed earlier, and that earlier something came from something that existed even earlier, and so it continues back in time. BUT, science and scientists have trouble when they get back to that first something that everything else developed from. Even the ‘big bang’ theory starts with something to bang from. But, where did this original something come from? Among other things, it has been called the unmoved mover, as there is nothing that precedes it to cause it to move, and start all of the later somethings to start moving too. The simple truth is that you can’t develop or adapt the original something from nothing. It is impossible, and your own natural reasoning power will tell you the same thing.
