About this ebook
Have you ever wondered is Jesus real? Is He just some made up figure to give hope to the hopeless? Can He even hear me? Why do those that seem to do wrong, have everything?
Well I too have had these same questions and hopefully my journey will help someone not lose faith. God loves us all and want us all to have the desires of our heart, but are you doing your part?
Isaac Stancill
Since a child Isaac Stancill had a will to write. Music or short stories would be scribbled on napkins and notepads scattered about. Now turning that gift into passion and that passion into his first novelette is a thing of beauty. Like Isaac Stancills’ grandfather use to say, “can’t be could til he did”

Chapter One
Is Jesus Real?
Have you ever wondered is Jesus real? Is He just some made up figure to give hope to the hopeless? Can He even hear me? Why do those that seem to do wrong, have everything?
Well I too have had these same questions and hopefully my journey will help someone not lose faith.
Let’s start at the beginning, is Jesus real? Yes! Ok books over, thanks for reading.
Seriously, it’s been my experience that our Lord and savior Jesus Christ is as real as you are I. He was born in sin to woman, lived and died. But here’s where the story gets interesting. After three days of death, He rose again. He died that we might live. He died to save us from sin. While living He taught us how to live, how to pray and how to love one another.
Ok, I know that you might be saying, but my faith is weary. Let’s try and sure up some faith now. The first thing I want to say is don’t worry about the small stuff, what does He look like or what kind of hair did He have. Were His eyes blue or not? Cause that’s only there to distract you from the real glory of God. Who cares what He looked like, let’s see the good in what He did while here. The blind now sees, the crippled can now walk and the deaf can hear. I admit I lose faith from time to time but I just remember the things God saved me from.
Growing up on the south side of Houston, came with its challenges. Peer pressure and street credit are just a couple I’m going to list. I can still remember to this day the first time I felt like I should’ve been dead. I was playing basketball with family and a few friends from the neighborhood when a friend said, let’s walk up to the pawnshop, I want to pawn something in to get some money for these shoes.
Sounds simple enough right? Ok, let’s go we all agreed. But for God, having a purpose on my life sent my aunt outside to stop us in our tracks. Do you four have something to pawn? She asked my brother her two sons and I. No, we replied. We’re just going to walk with them up there. Think again, she said. Of course we were mad and stayed mad at her the rest of the day. Only later did we find out, the guy that wanted to pawn something, actually tried to rob the store and was shot and killed. My aunt sat us down to tell us a story. Sometimes we tell you no to certain things because we know better, she said. But we are not always going to be around to guide you and you need to start listening to God. Could you all have been shot and killed today by going to the pawnshop? Maybe. She said. You would’ve been just innocent young men walking and talking with friends but, you’re guilty by association. She told us.
How will we know if it’s God talking to us? I asked. You’ll know, is how she replied. You’ll know. Well, being ten years old you don’t think like an adult, so I pictured God whispering in my aunt’s ear like he was telling a secret. I remember waiting for months for God to whisper in my ear like that. I wanted to hear the voice of God like my aunt said. Well months passed and still no
