Pink Party Problems
What can a girl do to understand what is going on inside of her mother’s head? I, Sally Buchanan, wondered if it was even possible on days like today.
Please tell me you’re joking,
I whispered. A strand of my stringy blond hair fell into my eyes, but I ignored it. "You made my thirteenth birthday party pink? Me, the beach bum wannabe. My entire room is blue. Most of my things are blue. God even made my eyes blue. I hate pink. Why in the world did you get pink stuff?"
Mom furrowed her eyebrows and frowned. Don't roll your eyes at me, young lady. Pink used to be your favorite color, and I think it is high time that you get over your fixation with blue. Your party will be pink and that's final.
I rubbed my hands over my face and groaned. This cannot be happening.
