Chapter 1
We used to live together — yes, in the trivial and dense, and often tense apartment sense. It is true that we had built an inner wall (from hardboard) in order to divide our parts, protect our privacy rights and increase our chances to die a natural death, however this is not to indicate that we did not like each other’s personality. In fact, we were bound by an unmatched friendship, which took its supreme manifestation in one very special hole in the abovementioned wall though which — in fulfilment of the practical purpose it was made to serve — we frequently volunteered into a process of verbal communication. Methody, it shall be further noted — and my roommate was indeed a man worthy of his name — was a passionate musician. With passion akin to obstinacy and devotion deserving of an even thicker wall between us with an even smaller hole in it, he was continuously exploring and re-discovering the surprisingly vast realm of mismatched tones perceivable by the human ear, commonly referred to as cacophony by his less methodical colleagues. I was also an artist, but my art was very special. I had dedicated myself to the exploration of a world arguably inaccessible by people with non-stimulated perception — a world of delusive truths and truthful delusions that could only be pulled into one’s gravity of mind through the semi-constant combination of varying types of medication
