    One so dear to

    My heart could

    Only be defined

    As a friend—a true

    Gift from God

    As He watches

    Over us each and

    Every day!!

    11-17-12

    I knew right away that

    I wanted you—did not

    Allow myself time to put

    Away my hands!

    One way or another, I

    Was going to make you

    Mine—with my mark upon

    Your fine surface, clear

    Enough for anyone who

    Wished to see.

    And, now, I can proudly

    Announce that you are

    One of my dear creatures!

Cassandra got up and changed her position. She wanted to look out her window and survey all the activity which was taking place outside, even though she wanted no parts of it tonight.

Cassandra had completed high school in Grand Rapids, Michigan four years ago, shortly after she had turned eighteen. And, while she did not have any immediate plans for college at the time, her parents got tired of her sitting around the house and tinkering with her guitar. It’s not like she was
