About this ebook

Since the day they met, Owen’s restraint has been an exciting foil to Caleb’s unruly lack of discipline. Now established lovers, they can’t deny how welcome that balance is in their lives. Two very different men, both strong-willed - it shouldn’t work between them, but it does! Owen’s steady world is rocked by Caleb’s boldness, and Caleb finds a haven in return. Now they share their lives, a strong need for each other and a highly developed love of play.

On this weary night at the end of a working week, they’re caught in traffic on opposite sides of town. They’ll have to wait to meet up until the journey’s over, to enjoy the evening together. Or will they? Caleb decides he won’t wait to play, and he’ll play as dirty as he dares—or as much as they can handle over the phone!

Clare London

Clare took the pen name London from the city where she lives, loves, and writes. A lone, brave female in a frenetic, testosterone-fuelled family home, she juggles her writing with the weekly wash, waiting for the far distant day when she can afford to give up her day job as an accountant. She’s written in many genres and across many settings, with novels and short stories published both online and in print. She says she likes variety in her writing while friends say she’s just fickle, but as long as both theories spawn good fiction, she’s happy. Most of her work features male/male romance and drama with a healthy serving of physical passion, as she enjoys both reading and writing about strong, sympathetic and sexy characters.Clare currently has several novels sulking at that tricky chapter 3 stage and plenty of other projects in mind . . . she just has to find out where she left them in that frenetic, testosterone-fuelled family home. All the details and free fiction are available at her website. About Clare London

    CHAPTER 1

The weather was worsening as the night wore on, the rain hammering on the roof of the car and the sky turning velvet-black with a thick curtain of cloud beyond the narrow view of the windshield. Caleb felt the vibration in his pocket before his cell phone started to ring out its Frosty the Snowman tune. He shifted his seat belt to one side, pulled the phone out of his pocket, and clipped it into the hands-free adaptor. Uh-huh?

There was a grunt on the other end of the line. I assume that’s you, Caleb?

Caleb grinned. That rich combination of belligerence and frustration in the tone of a voice—didn’t he just love that in a man? Uh-huh. So who else were you expecting to answer my phone, Owen?

The other man’s voice made that snorting sound Caleb so often provoked. It’s just a joke to you, isn’t it?

    What is?

This time, it was a growling noise. Everything. Just a damned game.

Caleb shrugged, then scowled ruefully as he realized Owen couldn’t see. Life’s too short to play safe, if that’s what you mean.

And if there’s one thing you never do, it’s play safe.

Caleb raised his eyebrows. Well, yeah. What’s the fun in life without challenge?

    Owen grunted again.

Right. Caleb teased his lower lip between his teeth. The noises were fascinating but not
