Ayisyen prepare manje yo avèk anpil swen.  Yo gen anpil zepis ak legim ki sèvi baz ak gou tout manje yo apresye lakay yo, nan kafe, ak restoran Ayisyen.  Se konsa manje yo gen yon ti zepiz ki yon ti jan pike.  Aprè yo fin sizonnen yo, yo pa kwit yo byen vit, sou gro flanm dife.  Kelkeswa se yon pla komen yo manje chak jou oswa yon pla moun andeyò prepare, yo tout gen rasin nan tradisyon kwizin Tayino endyen, Afriken, Fransè ak panyòl.

Haitian dishes are concocted with care and include various spices and herbs that serve as basis into flavoring all the dishes appreciated at homes, Haitian restaurants, and hotels. So, the foods are moderately spicy and are slowly cooked after being seasoned and well marinated. Whether they are common dishes mingled with rural plates, they are all rooted in the culinary traditions of the French, Spanish, Taino-Indians, and Africans.

Haitian Creole Dishes include a variety of staples such as rice and beans topped with chicken, meat, or fish stews alongside with boiled plantains or other root vegetables. Apart from these are the Haitian salads cooked or raw. Fried foods are also Haiti’s popular delights, which consist of deep fried meat, poultry, fish, and some root vegetables. Other kinds of foods are the authentic Haitian porridge made with corn meal or grated plantain, and the delicious and traditional sweet potato bread (pain patate).
