Introduction
In recent times, the most effective job-seeking strategies have proven to be highly dynamic and changeable, with the job-hunter necessarily making modifications as they encounter shifting employment conditions. In particular, job-seekers in the oil and gas sector have encountered an increasing need to adapt to fluid market conditions due to the prolonged slump in the prices of these commodities. Clearly, new techniques and tactics for getting the job you want—or the position for which your experience best suits you, not necessarily the same thing—are required. Regardless of the specific area in which your professional experience or qualifications are concentrated, the current economic climate is directly or indirectly affecting all areas of the global economy. More than ever, difficult times call for a positive and creative mindset, one in which we focus on exploring our best qualities and abilities, then putting them in to action to land a new job. You may also seek to re-invent yourself in areas that you had never before dreamed of making money from. I
