Soft Swap

Chapter One
Soft swap.
That was the term for what I was about to do. Soft swap. In the past weeks since Ben and I had decided to expand the boundaries of our marriage, I’d learned lots of new terms. My rebel-without-a-cause husband was up for just about anything I was willing to try, and I felt most comfortable with girl-on-girl action.
My heart pounded as we trekked up the walk to their front door. I could hardly believe that just three weeks ago, Ben and I had joined a swingers’ website, much less contacted another couple. I inhaled and squeezed Ben’s hand. Are you sure you want to do this? I mean, we can turn around and leave right now.
My tremulous voice betrayed my sudden doubt.
What if she didn’t like me? What if making love to a woman while our husbands watched felt weird? What if I should have kept all this a fantasy? I couldn’t stop my mind from racing. All four of us had agreed. After we girls had enjoyed each other, we’d have sex with our own guy. What could possibly go wrong with that scenario?
Ben chuckled and stepped closer so his entire side brushed reassuringly against mine. Cold feet?
I searched his gray eyes, looking for signs of doubt. There weren’t any. No…
That doesn’t sound convincing,
he said jokingly but I knew he was dead serious. Jess, if you don’t want to do this—if you aren’t one hundred percent sure—then let’s go back home. As much as I would dearly love to watch you with another woman, I need you to understand this is all about you.
I swallowed. He was right. I was the one who’d suggested it. I was the one interested in living out my fantasy of making love to a woman. Together, we’d decided that I’d join the website. I’d found Bradley and Tina and had made the first contact.
When it seemed as if it might become a reality, Ben and I had made love over and over, talking about what it would be like to watch and be watched, to kiss another woman, to taste one. My pussy clenched at the thought of kissing lips like mine, feeling soft skin beneath my palms, exploring a female with my fingers…
No. I didn’t want to turn back.
Good thing. Because the front door opened and my lips parted in awe as I laid eyes on the sexiest woman I’d ever seen. I’d heard the term tall drink of water before but I’d never known what that meant—until now.
Straight black hair and bangs framed her classically lined face. Full red lips blossomed into a welcoming smile. As she swung open the door, her stylish white dress gaped to reveal the swell of one tanned breast. Long and lean, she looked like a model.
Her online photo had been attractive, but in person Tina was stunning.
Her gaze held mine for a heart-stopping moment before caressing me down to my toes and back up in blatant approval. My stomach turned a somersault. The idea that this gorgeous woman could be as attracted to me as I was to her excited me in a way I couldn’t define. There would be no turning back.
You must be Jess,
she said. Dimples formed at the corners of her mouth. Her gaze never left mine in spite of my awareness that her husband had come to the door to exchange greetings with Ben.
Bradley was just as sexy as Tina. About the same build as Ben, Bradley had the good looks of an actor. Careless, reddish-brown hair framed chiseled features. His affable smile put me instantly at ease.
I couldn’t wait to watch Bradley and Tina make love to each other.
Tina’s gaze momentarily swept over Ben and I wondered if she found his olive skin and dark, wavy hair as attractive as I did.
Come inside,
Tina said. Would you like a glass of wine?
Light spilled over her as I stepped into the foyer. She radiated beauty and confidence—and interest in me. A delicious chill swept over my bare arms. This sexy woman had answered my email. She’d looked at the picture I’d attached. Knowing that something about me had intrigued her boosted my self-assurance as no man’s attention ever had.
I followed Tina through the dining room and into the kitchen. Original art decorated the walls. Mirrors hung to strategically show off the contemporary furniture. Soft jazz drifted in from some other room. Her kitchen gleamed. Modern, stainless appliances shone immaculately against a color scheme of black, white and gray. Everything about Tina’s house betrayed what I knew of her online personality. Classy. Sexy.
Bold.
Is red okay?
she asked, brandishing a bottle of wine.
Yes. Thank you,
I said.
Have a seat.
She gestured to one of the barstools before she took a wineglass down from a rack over her well-equipped bar.
I slid onto the stool and watched her pour the wine. She caught the last drip off the neck of the bottle with her fingertip and put it to her lips. Her gaze caught mine as she kissed the blood-red droplet from her finger and everything inside me grew taut.
She smiled as she joined me at the bar. So, you’ve never been with another woman before.
It was more of a statement than a question. Damn, she didn’t waste any time.
No.
My fingers brushed hers as I took the glass from her hand. The touch sang electric with anticipation and the knowledge my life had taken an inexorable turn.
Her gaze warmed as it moved over my face and then down to my breasts. My nipples pebbled under my blouse. No,
I repeated. But I’ve always wanted to.
She smiled. "I had relationships with other women in college, and when Bradley and I decided we wanted to enhance our marriage, we joined the website. Mostly though, it was the husbands who contacted me. Not the wives."
Really?
She nodded. That’s how I knew you were for real.
I sipped my wine. This conversation flowed far more smoothly than I
