I look around the room and note the suits. Expensive. Men of power and wealth. Men we need.

I lean back against the wall and breathe for a little. That was my first time giving a presentation and it was intense.

My brother winks at me and then checks his brief case.

I think I forgot to give Henderson the deal description. He pulls it out and holds it up. Could you be a darl and hand it over to him?

I stare into his soft brown eyes. Since I was 14 and he tricked me into selling him my used panties, which he then onsold to his friends - perhaps his first sales effort - I have not trusted him fully. This seems like a situation where I should be wary, but the presentation has my head all a flutter. I knock politely and wait.

No one answers.

I sigh and knock again.

No answer.

Deciding that the owner of the office won't mind if I pop in and leave the file on the desk, I open the door and step in.

To my surprise, the graying wolf of the pack of men we spoke to earlier is sitting behind a huge polished oak desk. His fingers are crossed in front of him in a relaxed position. The man's shoulders are so wide in his gray suit that they sit out either side of the leather chair he is reclining in.

Did you knock?

I gulp. His voice is commanding and this is the first time that he has spoken.

I don't think she did.

This voice I know. It's from the youngest of the men at the table before with golden blond hair and a creamy voice that makes me melt.
