Maryann Bristol was sorting the laundry, and contemplating her life. She was a 40 something housewife, no kids, a cheating husband and a life that seemed to have stalled in the suburbs. She was an attractive woman, not a raving beauty by any standards, but still easy on the eyes.
How had she ended up here? She often wondered. She had graduated college with a business degree, and somehow had married Ralph Bristol, soon after graduation. He was charming, good looking, and had managed to sweep Maryann off her feet. That was over twenty years ago. Ralph had gone soft in
