Heather The Elementalist: Vengeance

About this ebook
The past 5 years have been rough for M.S.R., especially for Clarissa and Harry. They have been left in charge of running M.S.R. with no homes to return to. Their names have been tainted, with Blake, Heather, James and Hailey on the run.
Things changed as Heather and Blake disappeared and went off the grid, Clarissa seeing hopeful sightings through cameras. She wasn’t the only one looking though; another person and organization were looking for Heather and Blake as well.
The thing that was throwing everyone off; the little girl.
Rated: R (violence, language, some nudity)

VENGEANCE

Chapter 1
Run!
he yelled. She ran for all that she was worth, racing towards the exit that was pre-planned. If she could make it, she would be home free.
She could see that she was only ten paces away, when a burst of fire like pain exploded in her back. The shock froze her body, forcing her to fall face first onto the floor.
She felt her arms forced behind her back, pinning her. Someone was screaming and she couldn’t recognize it was.
Clarissa!
Harry shook her awake. Clarissa sat upright, frantically looked around the room to find that it was only her and Harry, who had her by the shoulders.
Jesus...not again!
she ran her fingers through her hair, which was damp from sweat. She pulled off the sheets and hung her legs off the bed. Or rather the makeshift bed that she had been sleeping in for the past several years.
It had been five years since Heather and Blake had gone into hiding. Only a few short months after they left, did James and Hailey. Now it was just Clarissa and Harry that were left from M.S.R Security, or at least the original group of five.
Clarissa remembered that just before James and Hailey went into hiding, things were good. She was making more money, until four years ago. She was now doing lot more work for technically nothing. She, nor Harry, could go outside anymore. They were public enemies; they didn’t break the law, but every news agency had learned of what was going on and things weren’t looking good. M.S.R. was doing fine as they kept the bills and salaries paid.
The reserves of cash had remained roughly the same, the $6 million that was paid to them 5 years ago. It was sitting in a box in storage. No one knew about it.
You feeling any better?
Harry asked as he continued to rub her back.
Yeah, I’m just tired of this. I don’t have an apartment anymore, no life. My reputation has been destroyed because of the media...
she covered her face yet again.
Harry sighed, eyes closed. The media, even after countless decades of Presidents attacking them, shaming them, they still somehow survived and were just as vile as ever.
The past had not been kind. They were basically forced into living; none stop harassment from the media, the IRS and every agency out there. They tried the FBI, but their case was swept under the rug. Lawyers and judges were paid more money than they could afford to counter act any suit.
Whomever was behind this, they had money and resources. Harry could also see that the regular police weren’t just armed with pistols; they were now armed with assault rifles, grenades, and other SWAT munitions.
Harry looked at the clock, it read two am. Only a few more hours of darkness before work would begin again. He missed waking up and seeing the garden outside his apartment, but like Clarissa, he didn’t have it anymore. Someone had managed to force him out, somehow.

It was 7 am, Clarissa was on her second cup of coffee, trying to locate Heather and Blake once more. She had been able to stay in contact with them for
